SORCe (Safe Communities Opportunity and Resource Centre) - Calgary
SORCe is a multi-agency collaborative that connects people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, to programs and services that can help to address the barriers to stable housing.
Please note that SORCe does not have access to emergency housing or emergency financial assistance. Our Resource Specialists will provide information on programs available at SORCe and in the community.

WALK-IN HOURS: Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
SORCe only offers walk-in based services. Client service is not available by phone. For general information about SORCe, or if you are an employee of another agency, please call our automated information line: 587-779-5015.
SORCe is typically closed on weekends and statutory holidays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff could be more helpful. It would be nice if there was a phone line I could call for info. It would be really great if the staff could pickup the phone and call me with information Instead of making me pay money to bring me and my kid to your office in freezing weather just to find out you guys cant help me. Why couldn't you call and leave me a voicemail communicating who can and cant help me. Thanks for the hypothermia.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went through this company a couple years ago and they set me up with discovery housing. Witch is a center to help single mothers off the street. The center i was directed to go through found me a dirty home. Right next to a cracked shack and rather then take my daughter and i to a safer place they closed my file and let me stay there with 2 dead bodies in my yard.. i asked for help and the best they could do was close my file. Now for the last year my daughter and i have been homeless in the MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. WAY TO HO CALGARY.. i would not recommend this place to anyone

Very rude not interested in there jobs or whichever but definitely would not recommend trying to do anything there as the help and drive wasn't there .....very disappointed considering I don't know downtown well at all so just getting there was a Task littlelone be treated so badly !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Helpful resource centre weekdays only at city hall train station platform with long lineups helping liwbto zero income persons obtain info , a little food, basic needs on site. Took employment skills courses & elevated my confidence, computer literacy . For free in 2019. Obtained in 20 ft days range of workskill certificates made one friend and was impressed by all teachers support staff with dedication abilities motivational positive attitudes.
