We have become members of her Wine Down Wednesdays and just can't wait for 5:30 pm every Wednesday to enjoy the marvelous company, tasting the wine and bring the mid-week blues to a wonderful, positive and enlightening ending! β β β β β The wines were interesting and unique. Marte did a superb job of imparting information while keeping the tone light and informal and as the tasting went on and the crowd got increasingly "animated" she was good humored and did a nice job of herding a bunch of drunk and rowdy cats. Had a lot of fun and learned a few important things abut wine and wine producing regions. Well done.

β β β β β This was a lot of fun and our host Jennifer was super informative. I loved hearing fun facts about the wine and how vineyards are quite different in other parts of the world. I found the food and wine pairing very interesting. Jennifer did a wonderful job! I will highly recommend this to friends and family as this really is a nice way to connect with friends and family during a pandemic. Thank you Sommevents for a lovely afternoon.

β β β β β We enjoyed the wine tasting group event led by Marte Belisle via Zoom yesterday evening. Some of the participants were more knowledgeable about wines than others, but Marte provided information and answered questions in a way that was understandable to all. She was well-informed, welcomed comments and suggestions, and led the activities in a friendly manner and at a comfortable and relaxed pace. It was an event that we would be happy to participate in again and would recommend it to others.

β β β β β We had the pleasure of doing 2 virtual wine tastings with SommEvents and would love to do more! Marte and Jennifer were both wonderful hosts, very knowledgeable and extremely personable. They were fantastic at keeping everyone engaged and keeping the conversations flowing.The wine selections were excellent and we look forward to discovering more wines at another tasting soon!

β β β β β An unexpected Birthday Surprise and the perfect gift for a Covid Birthday! The eight of us had a fantastic time learning about the wine, how to pair it with food and discover the underlying flavours and bouquets. Marta is exceptionally knowledgeable and her easy, friendly style made it a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this experience - great value, a lot of laughs and plenty of learning.

For me, as one of those house wine drinkers, she provided insights into the different types of wine and what grows best in Niagara. She suggested a few delicious, well-priced wines which greatly enhanced my appreciation and knowledge. She is highly recommended.
