 You always pay too much to practice a sport that should be accessible to everyone. Promoting soccer should be a priority and sometimes it isn't.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pas de soutien ni de suivi pour les jeunes qui veulent aller plus loin. Leur rêves sont écrasés et s'éteignent à 16 ou 17 ans, à moins d'avoir des parents qui sont prêts à payer un gros prix et/ou changer de province. Pour le récréatif ça passe, mais pour le compétitif... C'est nul ou Trop $$$$$$$$$$
No support or follow-up for young people who want to go further. Their dreams are crushed and die out at 16 or 17, unless you have parents who are willing to pay a high price and / or change provinces. For the recreational it's okay, but for the competitive ... It's bad or Too much $$$$$$$$$$

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ J'ai trois garçons et mes deux plus vieux (7-9) participent à la ligue récréative pour une deuxième année. Je me suis également porté volontaire pour être parent-coach. C'est sûr qu'il y a des limites à ce qu'une association principalement basée sur l'apport de bénévoles peut faire, mais mon expérience est que Soccer Outaouais fait un bon travail pour encadrer l'apprentissage des plus jeunes (U8 et moins) avec l'apport de jeune aide techniques (U12+) et que les U9+ ont accès à des matches compétitifs à travers la ville.
Merci Soccer Outaouais pour permettre à mes jeunes et moi-même une belle introduction au soccer.
I have three boys and my two oldest (7-9) are participating in the recreational league for a second year. I also volunteered to be a parent coach. Of course, there are limits to what an association mainly based on the contribution of volunteers can do, but my experience is that Soccer Outaouais does a good job of supervising the learning of the youngest (U8 and less) with the contribution of young technical helpers (U12 +) and that the U9 + have access to competitive matches across the city.
Thank you Soccer Outaouais for giving my kids and I a great introduction to soccer.
