For the next 2 years I experienced nothing but back issues any time I did something relatively active. They say that a back injury is actually a 'change of lifestyle' - I'll say - I went from enjoying a selection of biking, playing soccer, baseball and kungfu just about every day of the week to simply repeating my new mantra of "I can't do that - I've got a bad back" as I ached and ouched throughout my day. I came to see Dr. Michael Smith, and having never experienced acupuncture before, was quite skeptical as to the efficacy of the treatment. After the first treatment though, I felt better than I had ever felt since my accident. Dr. Smith treated me each time I came to visit and recommended some basic stretching and exercises- I'm now at the point I can't recall every having had a back issue, and enjoying my regular exercise regime again - to this day I am a die hard fan of his acupuncture and rehabilitative skills and recommend him to anyone that is looking for solid medical treatement.

While I was in hospital, I was told I would be on medication for the rest of my life for this disease. I began treatments with Dr. Smith which included acupuncture, herbs, and learning which foods were best for my constitution and how to eat with the seasons. After 6 months, I was able to stop taking the medication. Western medicine saved my life, but acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments with Dr. Michael Smith got me better.

He used a combination of acupuncture needles and guidance in appropriate natural medicines from earth; including education on one's food diet and water source, (which should pure, filtered, without chlorine and fluoride), influencing ones health greatly. He is a respected member of community, sharing his knowledge of survival, living healthy, and healing abilities, who helps to make people's lives better.
