β β β β β Have had our two children at this facility for over two years.
Very well managed facility with well developed systems in place including excellent communication to the parents.
The Staff turnover is very low and the they are all knowledgeable, helpful and well organized. We have benefited greatly from their experience and handling of our children while in their care.
The materials are constantly being updated and are very age/skillset appropriate.
The facility and outdoor play area is excellent for this application as it was a school prior to being retrofitted to a Junior Kindergarten.
We are very pleased that our children are in such great hands and recommend it without reservation to others.

β β β β β Teachers and curriculum were great but the management was so unaccommodating. Not suitable for parents who are both full-time workers.
They have pro-d days and spring/summer/winter breaks. In addition to that, my son got sent home for his eczema reaction multiple times.
One day my husband forgot to bring dr's note regarding my son's eczema (even though we left prescribed cream at school) and the manager called me asking for the updated dr's note. I asked her to wait couple of hours because I am in the middle of important meeting with clients but she asked that I take my son home after one hour. How can you miss so many days of work for these little policy driven demands? Most disappointing thing was the staff never asked how my son's eczema was.
No interest in family's needs or children. This place is about business and policy.

Both our daughters attended the North Surrey Smilestones for a total of 2 years. My partner and I were very impressed with the school cleanliness, organization and the most of all with the teachers' knowledge, care and patience. They were able to be consistent in their rules and messages, and they helped my daughter learn to read and write before she ever started kindergarten!
Here are a few bullet points that highlights why I love their program:
- they provide structured and unstructured play times
- their themes are engaging and co-collaborative (according to the children's interests)
- their art program is innovative and hands-on
- their focus on scientific method and scientific experiments is a great introduction to science
- they have a music program with a dedicated music instructor
- PE includes practicing yoga
- lunches and snacks provided by the centre are nutritious and catered by a local cafe in Crescent Beach
- their methodology for teaching math is hands-on and theme-integrated
- their methodology for language learning is story-based but it includes phonetic instruction, rhyme, song
I HIGHLY recommend this preschool. It's worth every penny!

β β β β β My son has been attending since February! He absolutely loves coming here, loves his teachers! The teachers and the front administration has been absolutely great! Communication with them is always great! Wish I had him enrolled sooner! Highly recommended Smilestones!!!!!!

β β β β β I have put both my children in the program at Fleetwood even though the facility is not close to me. The facility itself is spacious, clean and wonderful and the teachers are kind, caring and loving towards the children. Moreover, they instill independence in the children, create out of the box artwork and creations and start early literacy development from such a young age. It is the perfect school for your child to grow and flourish!

β β β β β Amazing place for my kids. The daycare is very clean and they have lots of natural and interesting toys for the kids. The staff are always welcoming and professional. I can tell they genuinely care about children. My kids are very happy here.

β β β β β Both of my daughters are taking this daycare. I am very impressed by the communication from the daycare. The staff share photos of my kids EVERYDAY to let me know how my kids doing at class, which makes me feel they are not far from me. Lunch and snacks are provided in a safe way and the menu is updated with me weekly. Classroom looks tidy and organized. Field trips were arranged occasionally with reasonable charge. Arts from my daughters's class were carefully collected and handed to me on picking-up. I particularly like the uniform they provided, looks cute. Plus, they have a huge parking lot :)
In summary, it is a well managed daycare with professional caregivers.
