★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My previous experiences at the dentist were always traumatizing and dreadful, making me dread going to appointments.
I decided to try Amy Akbari at Slate Dental and she made the experience enjoyable, informative, and easy. She goes above and beyond to make your cleaning as seamless as possible while making you laugh.
Usually hygienists grind at my teeth with their tools but Amy made it easy. She's very informative and has an absolute passion for this profession and will give you solid instructions on how to better care for your oral and dental health.
If you're in the area, I highly recommend her at Slate. for your dental cleanings. 11/10

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amy, a lovely girl, a happy mum, a professional hygienist. We came a long way from Fraser Height. I was hesitate to go at the beginning. However, it turns out happy result. We like Amy's service. Today, we came much long way from Horseshoe Bay. She care patience's wellbeing. She help us further out of her job whiteout any hesitate. I believe Amy is born for this job, nicely, kindly, friendly, zealously. She deserve all praise words.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amy has a very sweet nice easygoing personality. She patiently talks you through ensuring you are comfortable while she works on you. I was relaxed and enjoyed my first time prophylaxis session. I was impressed with her technique and patience going forward, she doesn't rush you or make you hold your mouth open unnecessarily which can be tiring. There was no bleeding which occasionally happens when you go to the regular hygienists using their metal tools. Thanks to Amy, I now look forward to future visits knowing full well they will be pleasant sessions! (The only reason I omitted a star is for the unexpected wait time. I had to cancel an earlier chiro aptmt which I could have attended and come to her later) No biggie, it all worked out and we are impressed with her and will return.
Amy is a very popular, busy lady in much demand. Be prepared to book early if you want to enjoy your next cleaning session with her!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am so grateful for Slate Dental! I have been to other hygienists/dentists that makes you feel bad and you never want to go back. Amy on the other-hand is not a judgemental person which makes me excited to come back and to take care of my teeth. She takes pride in educating her clients on their teeth and explains everything that is happening while she is cleaning. Booking an appointment is easy and she works a variety of hours and days in the week so even if you have a busy schedule, there is most likely a time that will fit in your schedule.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend Amy. I was previously very uncomfortable with dental work and resultantly avoided dental maintenance. Amy has made the process so comfortable that I have had more dental maintenance in the last year, than in the last decade.
I started with the whitening, which had great results for me. I had none of the downsides traditionally associated with whitening - the treatment was not at all uncomfortable, there was no burning, and I have not had any negative experiences with my teeth after like food sticking to them etc. Because my whitening went so well I have regularly had my cleanings done with Amy which are incredibly comfortable and I have been able to maintain the whitening service I had as well.
If anyone is on the fence or avoids dental work, I recommend trying out a treatment with Amy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amy is the best dental hygienist I have ever been to! She is very knowledgeable and passionate about everything she does. She does not shame you for the state that your teeth are in, instead, she educates you on ways to improve the health of your teeth and gums.
I have learned so much and it has motivated me to take better care of my teeth and gums! I've also gotten my teeth whitened at her clinic and it has given me so much more confidence with my smile and my teeth have not been sensitive since!
I will always recommend Amy to all my family and friends! She is awesome :)

No pain whatsoever! Amy consistently made sure I was comfortable. The atmosphere was so positive. Such a wonderful experience!
