★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all i would like to start with how friendly, great and caring staff alter has. My experience with their staff is extraordinary awesome . I was looking for an apartment rental while i was gone for 3 months to india. I contacted Altern through emails and i was very very happy how caring they are .
All other properties beside Altern i contacted wanted me to visit physically which was very devastating as i was overseas
Altern staff took extraordinary step to help me out in this situation while i was overseas and we finalized our apartment home over the emails and phone calls.
They found me exactly what i needed , apartment rooms are very neat and clean, and bunch of sunlight , carpet looks brand new and moreover washroom are exactly how i would like to have -very very clean . I would definitely recommend Altern to everyone without thinking twice, as it feel like HOME.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The units are very nice, maintenance requests responded to promptly, in suite appliances are modern, general building area is always clean and tidy. I've had pleasant experiences with all the Altern staff I've interacted with. However be prepared to frequently pay your rent several days earlier than stated on the lease - often the first of the month falls on a weekend or a stat holiday and they do extremely little to accomodate this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was good place earlier but now it seems that management wants to earn money only. Specially, staff is very rude, behave like they are owner of the building , they never wanted to help you.
Cleanliness is too poor, just go inside and look at carpets and stair cases. Even new carpet is of poor quality and worst then the one earlier laid down.
There is no ice melting salt spreading on stairs and walkways, i saw people slipping on ice at the entrance and walkways.
Power bill is the main reason for people to move out. Too much power bill for apartments, its usual $200-300 per month on average.
Plus point is location.

Had a few incidents where too much rent was withdrawn, which I was told was a lack in training issue that seems to have been rectified. Overall nicest place we've lived. Often have different promotions to help make the price worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been renting an apartment from Altern for about 2 years now. I love it. Altern is very professional but also a very friendly down to earth company. They go above and beyond making this bar far the best company I've rented an apartment from. Whether it's a birthday card slipped under your door or a bbq for the tenants they always make me feel at home! I honestly can't think of anything negative to say.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ i dont want to give even single star . but i can not comment without this . their maintanance is so bad .
1.i had newborn baby in the apartment our fire alarm was beeping after few seconds . beacuse battery need to be change.this was bothering a lot to us and we could not sleep beacuse of that.
i called every other day to change but they took 2 week to change it they have given very hard time to us. this bothered a lot to us.
2. power bills very high.
3. staff is rude 1st of all they dont pick phone especially when i called for maintainance.
4.i would not recommend anybody to go there .
5. they deduct you money for lot of reason they claim false charges on you. reaaly very bad.

The administration team made my lease signing super easy and quick. The maintenance man did my walk through and fixed the burnt lightbulb within a half hour! I'm super happy with my experience with Altern!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The apartments themselves are nice, if a bit small, and the building is as clean as I'd expect. Signing on was quick but they have a very confusing set up for their discounts. Power bill runs unusually high, but that could have been the abnormally hot summer we had. It also took over 3 weeks for my damage deposit to get to me after I moved out.
