Simcoe addiction and mental health is a great place for anyone who is struggling with addiction and or mental health. The staff is super friendly and compassionate.

They were quick to respond when needed to register and make payments, once family member as admitted, communication was horrible, in light of all that is going on during Covid time, the experience for family members was the worse, to make matters worse, when the individual finished his 30 day program, no follow was made, no one reached out. Paying thousands of dollars you will think the communication will be the key to ease the family. No one promises or guarantees that an individual will not fall back down, but the experience during the admission and after is awful- will not recommend this to anyone!!!! Trying to reach someone via phone is also. It greatest, with emails they are the worst!

Greatest choice I've ever made. The staff, program, and facilities are top notch. They truly save lives there, if you want to stop existing, and start living, if you want to truly take charge of your life, this is the place to learn the tools to do so. I encourage any and all who wish to become healthy, happy, and stable, to contact SAMH, it will be the best call of your life.

My family and I are so grateful for SAMH. This was the 3rd rehab my husband has attended and we were hopeful this would be different. They exceeded all our expectations. The admission process was simple and we were able to get him in quickly. From the moment we stepped foot in the door we felt a sense of relief. The staff was attentive and absolutely amazing!! They made us feel welcome and spent time with us explaining everything. Me and my kids had weekly family therapy which helped us so much. My husband has been sober for 2 months and is still doing great! My experience with Simcoe Rehab was excellent from the moment we dropped him off to the moment we picked him up. Thank you for giving us our life back and for continuing to support him!

SAMH transformed me! I entered there a terrified shell of a human being. I have suffered from depression for the past 15+ years, along with anxiety. I’ve been seeing a psychiatrist for the last 3 years and all he was doing was prescribing me medication after medication, to the point of probable misconduct. I still wasn’t feeling well enough to function even at 20%, my anxiety was at an all time high and my depression had me at an all time low so I began supplementing with massive amounts of Tylenol 1s for the effects of the codeine (I was taking approx 200/mth) and Tylenol Back and Body for the methocarbamol (up to 30/day). I’d dropped a considerable amount of weight and was spending all day in bed, in the dark, isolating myself from everyone and everything….until my sister came home from BC and saw how bad off I was. At her insistence, we started researching rehab centres. Simcoe came out on top because they not only have the doctors and psychiatrist consults, but they also have 4 face to face therapist sessions every week. They also offer an amazing after-care program to continue supporting you once you leave the centre! Entering the house is scary. I literally cried for the first three days. I debated with myself whether or not I should stay. But I am SO glad I did. The other clients were so friendly and helpful. I felt supported, validated and there was absolutely no judgment. I was comfortable speaking during group, and learned a lot from my peers. The counsellors are amazing! They are knowledgeable, understanding and are able to quickly identify each person’s unique barriers, personality traits, strengths and weaknesses. They push back when needed, but are also compassionate when necessary. And the food!! Wow! 5 stars every time! Amazingly delicious! Back to the treatment - I left SAMH feeling much more confident. I am no longer dependent on pills. And the addiction doctor made several adjustments to my meds (discontinued 2, reduced dosage of 3 others to minimum dosage with the possibility of discontinuing in the near future) I truly believe SAMH saved my life. I now see a new path that will allow me to live a full, complete and happy life without abusing drugs. I love myself now, and I want to do all the things I’ve ever wanted to do but was too busy drowning myself in depression and self medicated laziness. Thank you so much SAMH!!!
