★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a pretty bad sign that we complained more about the uncomfortable, non-reclining, terribly conditioned seats then the actual movie but that's where we are, lol. After the past two years I can understand not having updated the seating throughout the theatre but not to have comfortable electric recliners in AVX is inexcusable, especially with the additional charge. Very unlikely we would return, at least not without a hemorrhoid pillow to seat on (heehee)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ $25 to watch a movie with 15 minutes of ads, on a screen that’s dim with terrible contrast relative to a modern TV (the contrast ratio will blow the white screen out of the water), with booming bass but otherwise mediocre audio quality relative to any half-decent home theatre system… Ridiculous. Top Gun: Maverick preview video quality was vastly superior on my TV. The movie was a big disappointment, and watching it at the theatre was a waste of money. Theatres are done for. No wonder it was 90% EMPTY.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's cleaner than pre pandemic. We are old school so didn't consider buying the tickets ahead. Last minute decision to go to a movie. It's all automated now. Not a soul around to help figure out the technology. Man I feel old. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to watch! The food a little on the pricy side and so I recommend eating prior to your movie! Other than that this place is pretty great. The staff are nice and quite mindful of the level cleanliness in the theatre rooms!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Has and likely always will be my go to place for watching movies. Absolutely love this theatre, it's conveniently located at the CrossIron Mills Mall, so I usually get a bite to eat before heading to my movie. Food court is right beside the theatre so I don't have to walk far. This is also one of the few Cineplex theatres with an Xscape entertainment center and a huge one at that. Always a thrill spending some time playing some games here, they get new games once in a while too (especially since they recently expanded the space). Lines are usually small for concession, because they have so many queues. Staff are nice, and they employ a lot of minorities and students, which I can always appreciate. Their scanner has gotten better since they first installed it and it scans pretty fast without errors now. The theatres are good sized even for the ones showing old movies, they are also always cleaned by 3-4 people each showing. Pre-shows are also nice, though they sometimes aren't shown correctly (ie black screen 1 out 10 times). Experience here has always been good, only problems I've ever had were rude theatre goers once in a while (which are usually well felt with by managers). Definitely recommend watching movies here (rated off of three other Cineplex theatres in Calgary and two landmark theatres).

They have the largest arcade I've seen in the Calgary area! Absolutely love it. Great games, good selection.
