Silver Dragon Chinese Restaurant

We ordered a lot of food for an occasion last night. With all the news about how restaurants were having such a hard time with the pandemic, and the high cost of food delivery companies, and the fact that the take out menu offers 10% off for pickup, we thought that would be the best option. On the phone order we specifically told the person who answered that we wanted to pick the order up and would get the 10% discount. He asked at the end of the $150.00 order how we would be paying and we replied that it would be Visa. So far so good, right? Got the restaurant and all of a sudden the discount only applies to cash payment. What? That was never indicated in the either the phone call or on the menu. And we thought we were doing them a favour by picking up the order. Had we placed the order for delivery it would have cost them all whole lot more than 10% for the delivery company on top of the 3% merchant cost for Visa. Very disappointed. If there weren't 8 people waiting at home for that food, I would have just walked away. The food, however, was fine.

The best Chinese food in town. I've been coming here for 25 years! They're friendly and their food is good quality and delicious. The egg rolls are the best and their breaded almond chicken is awesome!

Shrinking portions. I ordered wor wonton soup for pick up. The container of soup was quite a bit smaller than the last time I ordered it - which was only a month before. No complaints about the soup itself, but as a regular customer, I was expecting a certain portion size, only to get a smaller one. .

My absolute favorite spot for Chinese food.. best in my hood by far.. delicious ,hot, & at my door fast ! ?

Quality of Food has gone waaaay down as well as customer service in many restaurants, but I had enough of being bullied and rudley spoken too. I'm not paying to be yelled at, lied too and given ridiculous excuses to qualify as customer service. With quarentine, Due to everyone being under the weather, I kept it light main item to be soup. I Ordered a large hot sour soup, in past a lrg. Soup came in 2 containers. Regular soup being in 1. As I have experienced from the Asian restaurants in white rock. Being brought a single container that would feed 1 person was very confusing. With the order being $53!! Included wings and chicken dgugung ( sorry for spelling). To be told that maybe I should order 2 containers next time. To speak and handle there business, toO a long time customer. Was so disgusting! nauseated, even more, the only medicine for this treatment is to warn others of this toxic service, and hope other restaurants continue with the noticable contagious growth of Disrespectful symptoms, towards there long time and faithful clients. To keep up there integrity and reminder that we are the ones that they are still in business For. Our long standing and Classic Golden Lion however, the other day sent out driver just to drop off a forgotten hot mustard! Thank you Golden for the kind Words of concern for such a small item, and your out of way service of sending a driver to fix this and make sure your customer has everything at home as if they were there in person. That is customer service and integrity that silver dragon should take a lesson from. Especially if your going to Rob vulnerable customers through this hard time. Not only do you cheapen out on your servings but your food quality has gone way down. I know that I personally am so tired of the bullies, rude and disrespectful treatment that we are given . Silver dragon, remember the only reason your still open is because of long time loyal clients that haven't tried to exchange the familiar for the unfamiliar. Such Small action only left. from doors closing to be open for newer tastes culture, new owners, are ready to offer customers of white rock. I happily wait for that new builds ess. Out with old silver dragon and thehorrible restaurant it has become and in with the new!

I order an Egg Roll, an Skewer, Onion Cakes and Pan Fried Dumplings for dinner....................The food was sooo gross, they all had a weird smell to it. I almost threw up. The Egg Rolls looks like a deep fried donut...??? And it had a Sour taste to it, I'm sure it had gone bad. Onion Cakes tasted like Korean Pancake without any seafood. It was okayish. Pan Fried Dumplings smelled like the dish pit, they Reeks. They were drenched in milky yellowish oil. I took a bite and threw them out... Skewer Meh... The food is not authentic Chinese food and definitely aren't freshly made. Never ordering from here again.

Go back to school and learn how to cook. It was dripping grease and uneatable. Horrible experience at best. I won't say the chicken was undercooked, but a competent veterinarian could have brought it back to life.

Not horrible, but not great either. I ordered the dry boneless pork, beef and broccoli and beef chow mein. The pork was good, the beef and broccoli was almost flavorless, and the chow mein was literally a bunch of noodles and a few strands of beef. Probably 80 cents worth of ingredients in that dish for close to $15. Definite rip off for that dish. I gave this 3 stars because it was food. Not great food. But it was edible.
