They have removed the main, centre cash registers at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Douglas, making self-check out kiosks more prominent and primary way to pay. They need to add cash-accepting terminals, options for shopping bags, and redeeming Optimum Points transactions in the kiosks! While there, someone one paying cash had to go on the floor, in the aisles, to find an employee to come to the till - now only one to the right in these photos. While there, three customers asked for bags because there are none at the checkout kiosks. Not a good transition; I hope some of their great, friendly customer service personnel jobs are not endangered by this move. I can see many customers being very upset by this move, especially as it came with no notice. Not a smart customer service move. (This review is based on removal of cash tills and lack of notice. I still like this store and it being close to home.)

Not staffed adequately, expect people to wait outrageous times for their prescription to be ready. This is important medication not a sandwich I’m waiting for.

Giving 5 stars for the LifeLabs facility in upper floor of Shoppers Drug Mart. I found the technicians, despite being overwhelmed with anxious travelers, to be kind, patient and respectful. The technician performing my pre-departure PCR test was thorough in ensuring everything was in line with government policies in my destination country prior to performing said test. I certainly hope the need for PCR tests will be non-existent in the near future, but if I am in the Victoria region, I'll know where to go :)

BEST DRUG STORE EVER!!!! I've lived in several parts of Victoria, Saanich, and Sidney, but i've always used Shoppers for my Epilepsy Meds. They know what need, and they call a few weeks before it runs out, reminding me to get another prescription. Very Friendly People!

Useless staff. Went in for a simple return of a nail kit that I didn't end up needing. Went up to the service desk where a very sketchy lady was drinking cough syrup without a mask while the "employee" watched her. I didn't even know if the lady (employee) worked there because she was literally just standing around looking completely lost. I stand there patiently for a few minutes while this lady is just waltzing around looking at nothing and then she turns to me and says "do you need something?" and i say politely "yeah actually i have this nail kit". Before I could even pull it out of my bag with the receipt she looks at me with a snarky attitude and says "oh yeah....uh.....hmmm.." and I ask her if she has done a return before (maybe she's new?) and she goes "oh no...it's just that beauty items should be returned at the beauty counter" and before i could reply she goes "it opens at 8am" (it was 7:30am). This employee did not want to do anything it seems besides stand around, and this was a simple return that would have taken a minute. What's even dumber is that I had returned a gel polish at the same counter 2 weeks ago no problem, but i guess they don't care enough to be consistent.

It sucks to go shopping, fill a basket and then walk home empty handed because they're out of bags. This has happened to me at this location multiple times. I feel bad for the staff left holding the basket. They must get a lot of flack for it. I'll be walking the distance to London drugs from now on.

I had ridiculous experience at this location in beauty section. I shopped at this location soo many time and all the beauty expertise are soo nice but today beauty expertise was soo rude. I liked chanel fragrances and i was hoping to buy one for myself. I asked one of the beauty expertise (covered head) about the chanel perfume. First she asked me about my age (23) and then she showed me couple of perfumes. I asked her if i can smell some and instead of putting perfume on piece of paper or anything for smelling perfumes she sprayed perfume on herself and asked me to smell which is very very ridiculous. Secondly, i asked her about testing perfumes displayed on left side and she told me to look perfumes on right side of display as the left side is for younger girls like her( 20yrs) . On being asked for what does young girls means and she replied left side fragrances are more soft and is for young people and right side displayed are for older people? What does that mean ?? Does chanel have any rules that you can’t wear some perfumes after the age of 20. Even though i am just 23 and i can’t wear perfumes as per my choice?? Does this even matter for age?? She was taking me as i am very aged person? Very rude and bad customer services. Teach her some customer services skill and how to treat customers.

The people down stairs and at the post office are super nice, very helpful and the store is usually quite clean even though it's busy. Mean while the staff stocking the shelves and the pharmacy are very aggressive. I went to the drop off prescription And requested an emergency supply, this was my second one in a while so I knew they were more likely going to say no. Instead the lady helping the newer staff member fill out my request told me off and then ignored me when I tried to apologize and explain the situation. Writing her off as having a bad day I thanked her for filling my prescription and waited, the younger man said 10-15 minutes. I waited 30 minutes before asking if it was ready, I only asked because I though they said my name. The nice girl at the counter said she'd check and when she asked the pharmacist he loudly said "it's still being made" while looking at me. I was quite anxious at this point, said sorry and sat back down. Another 10 minutes it was getting close to my bus so I waited in line to ask again. Now I was starting to panic, I needed my meds but I also really needed on this bus, a third pharmacist called me over and said "you know these emergency supplies are for you to get more, do you have an appointment with your doctor?" I replied "I know and I am very sorry I haven't been able to reach my doctor because-" he cuts me off and says "alright alright alright, is this the right pill?" Shows me my meds, I say yes and he runs off again. Now almost in tears I wait, pay and run as fast as I can barely making my bus to the ferry. I honestly wouldn't mind being told the truth, I can't keep asking for emergency supplies buy maybe if you can see on my profile I have anxiety, depression and insomnia that you don't yell at me in a crowded store. I'd rather go with out my medication then go threw anything like that again. I've never seen or talked to such aggressive pharmacists before.
