Called into shoppers at 9:30 am to order an emergency prescription. By 3 p.m. the staff at the pharmacy still did not fill the prescription. The person who took the initial call clearly did not do their work...ended up insisting that staff call to fill prescription. Unbelievable that a pharmacy can be this unorganized and dysfunctional taking 5 hours to fill a prescription. Was told by April to wait...Ended up waiting till 3:17 without any service yet again!!!! One would hope that employed people would value their work!!! Were told to come back at 4 p.m. and by 4:20 p.m. we were still waiting! I think this location set a new world record for the longest wait time for prescriptions.... 7 hours.....whoo-hooo.. you call that Shoppers service!!! I would strongly advise those who need prescriptions filled....run....run far away. Go to I.D.A instead.

I am very disappointed with Shoppers especially during these Covid times. My husbands prescription ran out so he went to Shoppers to hopefully get a few pills until he could get an appointment with the doctor. Shoppers refused to fill the prescription, he had to see his doctor. The doctors office was closed so he could not get an appointment. Back to Shoppers and they charged him $15 for a prescription! Its not the money it is the principal of the thing. We have been patrons of Shoppers for years and since retired. All our prescriptions have been filled there with never a problem filling prescriptions. This pharmacist is very impersonal, instead of talking and explaining why he would have to charge my husband for his prescription he just whispered to the girl behind the counter something. He never looked at my husband or payed any attention to him at all. Now we have since called our doctors office and got an appointment..... Talking to other people in Bancroft we have learned that the other pharmacies are more personal and would not charge you for a prescription renewal like that Shoppers pharmacist did. For all we know he may have pocketed the money.....We have since moved to another pharmacy and won't use Shoppers again.

Horrible. I recently switched to this pharmacy the are disorganized, rude and understaffed. I wait ridiculous amounts of time everytime. I actually had staff guide me on there computer systems so I could tell the next employee how to do there job if I came in again and had issues. I would give this pharmacy -1 star if it would let me. Dont go here!

If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I drove in from Whitney to find a piece of paper on the door saying the hours are 8-8pm now. There's never anyone in this store to assist you even when it is open. Anytime I have ever been in this store, I have to check myself out and then the speaker says "how did we do today?" I always laugh when I hear it and think that I have to shop by myself, carry my own items, cash myself out with no staff around. Horrible is my answer.

This is the most either understaffed pharmacy or disorganized one. They just took 22 minutes to come to the phone, and when I asked them to order in an over the counter medication, they said they aren’t the qualified person to put the order in but have written it down for the correct person. This is not unusual for this pharmacy, and what usually happens is that it never gets ordered, so I have to repeat the process until I finally luck into the correct person.

EDIT: Thanks shoppers for your generic copy-paste response. If you actually read my review you would perhaps want to speak with me. Oh well, hopefully someone will actually follow up with me and some of the other negative reviewers and address concerns with this store. There's a reason this store has a low rating. There was a 60% off sale on lindt chocolates (all varieties as per sign) and we picked up two bags, one milk chocolate (red bag) and one mix bag (silver bag). One of the bags (milk chocolate-red bag) scanned incorrectly. The cashier argued with us saying that the price was because it was a special variety which it wasn't. When she continued to argue, we requested the scanner code of practice (see photo). The cashier called her manager on the phone and spoke with her for a minute, then proceeded to tell us we had to come back in the next day because the product was already at a discounted price. We disputed this, and the cashier called her manager from her office. When the manager arrived, she said we had to call the store the next day because she doesn't have the authority to do the scanning code of practice. She gave us the correct price for the chocolate but we will be calling tomorrow. Throughout this entire interaction, the cashier was dramatically huffing and eye rolling, and the manager was no better. In addition, I counted six staff members working (three of which were high school age fooling around in the aisles, nearlywalking into me) yet there was only the one person working cash. Even during our interaction, where a line of four people piled up, there was no call for another cashier. Absolutely awful customer service and no common courtesy.

I was at your location today and your front counter staff need to be educated in acceptable government id. I surrendered my out of province dl for an Ontario so I currently have a temp permit to which the cashier tried to tell me wasn’t acceptable (side note I’m 39 and wanted scratch tickets) I tried to tell her that yes it is and it even states this on the permit. She became rude and to which she then refused me a second scratch cuz it wasn’t in her tray I said fine call another cashier and I’ll buy it from her cuz I could clearly see one was available. She tried to say that had I listened she was going to accept my permit. I said it’s not my Id that’s causing me frustration cuz I already know I’m right my issue is the lack of respect and denying me a ticket I wanted cuz she didn’t want to. I insisted to which she took a ticket from her tray to switch for the one I wanted. Wow amazing thanks. She tossed them at me on the counter to which I responded by far NEGATIVELY. Please educate your staff and teach them to mind their emotions and simply be a customer service representative and try to assist customers to the best of your ability. (Which she totally failed to do) An apology would be nice but I won’t hold my breath.

The staff at the pharmacy is unlike anything else. I've experienced the worst customer service and have never received my prescriptions without an error on their part. From reading the other reviews this seems to be how it always is - change the staff!
