Prefer to fill up at Shell, located in the hearth of town with lots of character reminiscent to that of the 60s. Very helpfully attendant.

I love this SERVICE station! One of the few places left that actually pumps the gas FOR YOU and they do it with a smile! We won’t go anyplace else.

My husband was refused boat gas today at least 20 minutes before closing time, as per the attendant but looking at the site hours it looks like it was 1 hr and 20 minutes before closing time. To make things worse the attendant got into an argument with him suggesting he does his end of day paperwork??? Whatever that means.

This review is in regards to before the Shell station was renovated. However, unless this station has changed owners since, it is still 100% relevant. I came here just before they closed for renovations. They are full service, however I wanted to pump my own gas because it's just easier with my car's differences. The gas attendant came up and informed me that I couldn't do this because of covid. I told them that was fine, however you can not leave the gas filler nozzle in the tank unattended. The filler neck hole in my gas tank is not standard size. The gas nozzle WILL fall out while pumping. They told me it wasn't a problem. However, a minute later they left the gas nozzle on and walked away. As I looked up into my side mirrors, the nozzle fell out of the car pumping gas all over the side of my car and the ground. Luckily it did not get on my rear brake rotor, as this could have possibly been a fire hazard. I jumped out and grabbed the nozzle as it was still pumping gas all over the ground beside and on my tires. I had shouted for the attendant and he ran over but I had already shut it off. I understand mistakes, but I told the attendant exactly what NOT to do. He did it anyway. I asked for a reduction on my bill for gas. He said he would take off xx amount of $. I couldn't go inside because of covid so he had to do it himself with my card inside. Upon returning they hadn't taken anything off my gas receipt. I mentioned it and they told me that they took off $25 for the trouble. The funny thing with that is, my car does not cost that much to fill, comparing with the Liters pumped. So he lied. I got ahold of head office with receipt and time stamp etc explaining the situation, and just expecting a gift certificate for a tank of gas or something similar. Not anything huge. I was told that they were sorry for the inconveniences, but there was no actual proof that it did even happen. (I have emails to prove this ) She'll head office said they would have to review the recorded video footage for that day to verify what happened. I told them to go ahead, to please review the footage as it could have been a very bad out come. They responded saying that they actually can't get the video recording because they would need police clearance...then summing up a final email saying that it was basically "too bad" that it happened, and the owner offers a free car wash "for the trouble" I asked how I am supposed to use said car wash when they do not have a car wash on site? They informed me I can drive to Gibsons to use it. All in all this was a terrible experience from this location, and the Shell company in general. I won't be visiting any Shell location after this. Chevron 94 is better gas anyway.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this is a full-service station! They pump your gas for you. Not too many places around that still do this. Thanks for the service! I'll definitely be back. :)
