Terry Shackleton grew up in the insurance business.  His late father Clifford and his mother Patricia bought their first agency in 1972.  The industry has been a part of his professional life since he began selling hail coverage at 17 years of age. In the early 1980s, Patricia retired and Terry took over.  In 1990 he sold the business and began to focus on providing income tax and investment services.  But found he couldn’t stay away from the brokerage side.  In 2005, he was back selling insurance for his brother-in-law out of Oak Lake, MB.  In January 2012 he started Shackleton Insurance Brokerage Ltd. being run out of his home office outside of Kipling, SK.  Less than a year later, he approached Windthorst’s Rod Glover about purchasing his brokerage.  Today, Shackleton Insurance Brokerage Ltd. has grown to become a full service, customer-oriented independent insurance and financial service brokerage, located in Windthorst, SK.
