Setters Neighbourhood Pub

I have attempted to order take out from here on two occasions but have been told they are too busy! Wow! Any other business would prepare a meal to go even if I had to wait an hour! I have been a supporter of this restaurant for years but I will now find my new favorite. Good bye Setters ?

Not impressed, fish was like frozen, very thin, fries tasted old, forgot our salad and gravy yet again...lasagna seemed really small...not a happy customer

Foods good service is good. Used to love this place for steak sandwich and Caesar salad. But sadly the dressing has changed

Very friendly and fast service. The food was ok. The space is quite echoey which makes it loud and noisy. It was hard to have a conversation even with only a few other customers talking.

AVOID THIS PUB AT ALL COSTS!! We decided to go to this pub across town from where we were staying the night of Monday March 21st, 2022. (since most of the pubs and restaurants in Salmon Arm are closed on Mondays) VERY bad idea! The food was mediocre, not terrible but the show one of the waitresses put on was UNBELIEVABLE! When our party of 3 arrived at the pub we were the only patrons besides 2 men and a woman sitting at the bar. The woman was calling attention to herself by swearing loudly and falling off her bar stool, we all took notice but being a pub thought that she was just blowing off steam and enjoying herself. This behavior progressed over the next hour to the point she was now YELLING (you wouldnt beleive how loud she was TRYING to be!), CACKLING, swearing and falling backwards off her barstool. She then proceeded to belittle the female bartender by YELLING (always yelling) that she was a "little @$#&" (a name you would call a woman of questionable morals, wich can't be printed in a review.)Two seniors came in, ordered two drinks, commented on and watched her in horror before leaving their half full drinks on the table. Since this lady was making sure she had a full audience I started to take notice of her conversation and dress. She kept repeating (YELLING) how many shots she had taken that day to two guys that were regulars she seemed to know very well. Then the black, 3 inch thick rubber soled servers shoes and black slacks. Our waitress seemed somewhat embarassed whenever she would come by and quickly disappear again. As soon as we finished eating we asked for the bill and I asked our waitress if the woman at the bar worked here and BINGO! We told her the bartender had been hiding in the back for 20 min and that this lady had most definitely been over served. Our waitresses demeanor changed as if offended. I pointed out that the staff shouldn't be ruining all the patrons night (causing others to leave not just us) by acting like an out of control child. Now for the very worst...As we came out to our vehicle we commented on the only other vehicle in the parking lot parked semi sideways across the white parking space line. As we got in our car this same VERY drunk waitress from the barstool basically falls out the side/back door of the pub and crawls into her white Mercedes SUV and speeds away!!!! The bartender and waitress were aware of how drunk their fellow belligerent worker was because they did their best to avoid her and hide in the back of the pub yet let her drive when she was too drunk to even stand up! I thought of contacting the manager but after reading other Google reviews and the condescending, rude response given I believe I would have got nowhere. Who knows this could have been the manager acting in such an appaling manner, she sure acted like she owned the place. Terrible experience!!

Came here with the family for Mother's Day dinner and the staff did not disappoint! Had the California Burger cooked to perfection (my compliments to the chef) and our server was very helpful and polite. Will definitely be back; hats off to you, Setters!

Good food. We went fairly late but one of the only places open late for food. Service was fast and server was polite and friendly. Nice ambiance. Sports playing on big screens.

Having been here twice in the past month, I have to say that although I would recommend it, consistency can be an issue. Generally the space is lighter than it was a few years ago and not so dingy, but the excessive screens are very intrusive. The food is mostly fresh and tasty, but the portions have definitely shrunk. Given the difficulty of staffing and Covid, it is understandable, but perhaps a smaller menu might be better. Service was very efficient and friendly and the prices are ok. Not great but one of the few dependable places in town to eat and be fairly satisfied each time. The best meal has always been the steak sandwich special on Wednesdays. Even though the portions are smaller, it’s good value for the price. Good to support a family business struggling to survive like most restaurants these days.
