Serenity One Construction and Renovations - Vancouver

We hired Serenity One back in September to do 1 very small bathroom, a shower in another, install insulation in a small flex room and install some venting for a laundry. The estimated timeline for this project provided by Paul was about 2 months and in the end, it took over 4 months. Paul kept making promises over and over again saying he would get things done by a certain date or that he would come to site on certain days but very rarely delivered. I kept asking him to be honest with timelines as I do understand that things happen, and he would promise and guarantee things would get done and it wouldn't. In the end, he only finished because I told him I was going to take alternate measures if he didn't finish. The finishing of the job in the end only took a few hours but he dragged it out for weeks. The excuses he had were absolutely endless and really not reasonable. Since the completion of the project, I have been following up with him to get a proper receipt for the insulation installation so that I could try to get a rebate for it. He has since been responding saying he would get to it, but I have yet to see anything. I had initially asked him for this information in November. The problem with Paul is that he always promises or guarantees one thing, but doesn't deliver. I would request something of him and he would respond almost immediately saying he would get to it or get it accomplished, but nothing happens. He gets your hopes up and then does nothing. It really is a shame because his work is not bad, but he has been terrible to deal with and for that reason, I would never hire or recommend Paul to another person.
