★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After 5 years under new administration, the new owners have settled in and have created a really nice atmosphere. The seating is still not the same comfort level since the redesign, but you feel safe and warm out of the cold. They produce some very good hot beverages and tasty treats that are served with a smile. You will also appreciate the fact they respect the COVID guidelines for sit-in or take out, tables are cleaned between clients. Thank you for making your coffee shop a pleasure to visit :)
Previous Review: Place changed administration a few years ago and the new owner is extremely rude. Takes away from a relaxing coffee house feel. New furniture is not inviting, more of an open concept sterile look now with uncomfortable seating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed this vanilla bean late. I appreciate that even though we showed up 5 minutes before closing, we were accepted and taken care of.
The cashier had a friend at the desk and it reminds me of when I worked in service! I used to be chatting away with my coworkers also when it wasn’t busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A go to for students as the mural of Loyola campus reflect this, a place where friends can grab a coffee with. I've had a scone in the past and have enjoyed it but there are other choices on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall, very good! They have the best vanilla lattes and my friend loved her Fro Cho. I am not giving 5 stars because they have gotten my order wrong twice and I find their baked goods overpriced. If you come at around 3-5 you might expect a lot of kids sometimes, since it is extremely close to three high schools. Also, contrary to a few reviews I found, I found the baristas were totally nice! I would totally recommend this Second Cup, the quality of their coffee is much better than Starbucks ?
