About Seasons in the Country
Seasons in the Country is a seasonal, local business based on our home acreage in Slate River, ON.
Our Spring/Summer season is held in the month of May. Our Fall/Winter season begins in the middle of November and runs thru to the middle of December.
When I am asked what we do here, I really have a list too long. We busy ourselves making items to sell in our gift shop; driftwood trees, mobiles, metal tree art, fused glass wind chimes, pressed leave cards, preserves, bath products, honey lavender shortbread and just about anything else when an idea presents itself. Our gardens are extensive and perennials are available directly from the garden. We plant and sell unique containers and plant customer owned containers in sun or shade selections.
Fall/Winter finds us gathering boughs from the forest to make hand tied wreaths, swags and winter foliage containers. The gift shop is filled with retail items, our hand crafted items and the hand crafted items of the many artisans from our community. We bring in greenery from BC and always have an abundance of pine cones, a staple for the winter season.
