I love sewing and would love to teach your child how to sew too!
I have been sewing for as long as I can remember, creating little projects as a child to sewing quilts, handbags and clothing as I got older. There is something about finding a fantastic piece of fabric and making it into something unique that you can call your own.
I believe children learn so quickly at a young age and learning new skills is important for brain growth and self esteem. Group sewing classes teach such things as hand eye coordination, math, social skills & creativity. Being able to show their friends and family what they created is such a self esteem booster. I love that I can teach the forgotten skill of sewing to all ages and genders!
Classes will be taught in my home. I have been an in home daycare provider for many years, in 2016 I became licensed with the government of Saskatchewan. I enjoy teaching children of all ages. I also have a current clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector and current CPR-B & First Aid.
Teaching sewing to me is so rewarding, passing on the torch to the new generation.

My 20 year old daughter Sierra is now helping teach with me. You may see her around in our classes that are over 3 students. She is a great teacher who loves to teach children. She also has her clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector.
