Awesome staff, very kind with my mother.. just passed..and my dad who is still a resident.

FAMILY AND POTENTIAL STAFF BE AWARE! I did a nursing contract here during the covid pandemic to provide some relief for the regular staff. The experience I had was absolutely atrocious. The staff are rude both to each other and verbally abusive to the residents. On several occasions I witnessed the homes staff yell and swear at residents. The care is sloppy and rushed. Residents are being put to bed without being changed or still dirty from food from dinner. The home is not up to fire code and there are environmental risks everywhere. The food services manager who is one of my most horrible humans I have met- she is constantly yelling and getting involved in resident and staff politics and is abusive towards the agency staff who have come to help out. I have been to dozens of LTC homes and have never witnessed what I have at this place. I ended my contract early because I did not feel safe to work there and I was forced to witness resident abuse every day. The divide between management and staff is horrible as well, staff are being yelled at and abused by the mid-level management on a constant basis. I will be reporting what I have witnessed here to the ministry. Be wary if you are considering putting your family member here. To potential agency staff: this place is not worth it, your license is at risk every day and you are the subject of constant abuse. For the sake of the residents, I hope this place gets investigated ASAP, I have advised my colleagues to report what they have seen here as well. If you have family here now I would encourage you to place cameras in their rooms so that you yourself can witness what goes on behind closed doors.
