★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Highway No.99 in Canada, from Vancouver to Whistler is more popularly known as the Sea to Sky Highway. We did a bus ride in June 2019 along this route. We started at sea level in Vancouver and our ride to the mountains in Whistler took about an hour and a half. The views of the ocean and mountains were breathtaking. On the way we passed the First Nations town of Squamish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spectacular drive during any time of the year. All along you will want to stop to take photos as the views are truly breathtaking all the way to Whistler. luckily there are towns and roadside road widenings for you to stop by. although there are more coming back to Vancouver than going to whistler, so plan accordingly. All along the way there are lookout points and some trails for those who are more adventurous. Sea to sky gondola is on the way as well as many touristy stops.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We love this drive!! The ocean opens up like a carpet of blue. It is stunning in all seasons. They way the road meanders and opens up to these gigantic mountain vistas takes my breath away.... everytime! We often take exit 3 to go towards horseshoe Bay to drive close to the water and then exit before entering the ferry terminal. Pure unadulterated Natural beauty! You can never get enough ?

Bumpy road. Lots of curves! Plus speed variations.
