Scott Lissa was recommended to us by a friend. We relocated from Alberta to Vancouver Island in late 2020. During our time working with Scott, the house market in Nanaimo down to Duncan exploded. Scott was very receptive to the needs we had and he made sure we had daily updates on new listings that were in the ballpark of what we needed. Scott was very patient with us as we had to decline many viewings to listings he sent us because of our needs. When we did a viewing, Scott did not just let us look. He looked like he was buying too. Scott was through. He looked for potential issues that may affect us. He looked in crawl spaces for us. He looked in the places inexperienced buyers, like us, wouldn’t to find things. When we decided to make an offer Scott was ready with so much information. The paperwork was through and well explained to us. He helped us get competitive offers in. We were out bid a lot by the hot market, but we were close on many occasions. Scott helped us find our perfect home in Chemainus. This summer I faced a daunting task of relocating my young family of teenagers halfway across the country, during a global pandemic, to begin a new life on Vancouver Island. One afternoon in late June, I received a call from Scott Lissa. He was so engaging and personable from the start. I couldn't believe how easy it was to talk to him and knew immediately that he was listening to the needs of my family. Scott prides himself on being a relocation expert and when he introduced himself it became apparent that he was willing to help me achieve my immediate goals. He proceeded to find out what my family was looking to accomplish, the timeline, and the type of home we were looking to purchase. It was apparent that Scott was very knowledgeable regarding the current market and he brought me up to speed on the local real estate trends on the island. He had a plan and I fully trusted him. Scott armed me with sound knowledge and provided numerous choices of housing to explore. In fact, we did virtual visits through FaceTime and he never once made me feel rushed. Scott was there to support us from beginning to end (and then some), ensure rational decision-making, and equip us with the tools we needed to be successful in the fast-paced VI real estate world. He never once strayed from what he presented at the beginning of this journey...being an integral component of securing our very basic quest to find a suitable home in a labile market. Scott has numerous connections and people who were able to answer questions. I could tell that his team functions well and was painstakingly built to reach the end goal of helping homebuyers realize their dreams. This man hustles and never stops. I lamented at how many hours he put in taking on my goals and stresses. He is also a very family-focused individual who sets aside time for his own young family. He did the near impossible in helping me realize my dream and become a Vancouver Island home owner. Fast forward to September and Scott was there to greet us as we arrived after a 2600 km trek to our new home.
