The service is mediocre. Most times I felt as if I've interrupted their little social chit chat. I've only had one good experience there. This bank couldn't do a task for me and ultimately lost my business due to the fact that they refused to change my name. I had all the documents necessary to make the changes and they still refuse to make the changes.

I will never repeat the mistake of going here. The weather was bad and it was connected with +15 from my place and thats the only reason I went there. It was a simple 15 min work and they took 1 hour. The guy was using 2 computers to get the job done and always complaining about his laptop not working needs restart etc. He was switching btween laptop and desktop couple of times. Finally he went to his colleague’s desk to get the job done. The worst part is he told the things I did with my account will show up in my online account and I am still waiting for it after 2 days and I m pretty sure he messed it up too. I will go to some other branch now to get it fixed.

I was there to talk to one of their mortgage specialists. We spent one hour talking about their mortgage products. I had some questions about some details, and he was not sure about the answers. I asked him to call / email me, and clarify those details. I was told that I will hear back from them in a day or two. I never heard back from them. I followed up, and again didn't hear back. They are very unprofessional.

This bank really doesn't care about their customers. I have a mortgage there and need a mortgage statement. After 2 days of calling and hours wasted on hold for a "representative" I finally get referred to the Branch Assistant Manager Elizabeth Sorrenti with her direct phone line. I've left message after message all day with no return calls. I called the National line again and was given the direct line for the Branch Manager Randy Kowalchuk. Same results, leave messages but no return calls. I highly recommend against getting mortgage with Scotiabank. The only time you can talk to someone is when they want to renew your mortgage (get your money) and any other time it is next to impossible to get information, talk to anyone or get a response. They want your money and when they have it the customer service is non-existent. When my mortgage comes up for renewal I will be moving to another financial institution for sure. In the meantime I am moving my bank accounts and cancelling my Scotiabank credit card and will go to another bank for my financial needs.

It took some time...guess a little patience is the reward in itself. Opened up my business accounts with Scotiabank. The location is good, the staff are pleasant to deal with it...feel that I can deal with these folks long term as I grow my business.

Just went to the center and waited to be entertained by only one customer service. The white young lady saw me and was busy having a conversation with a client about being in Canada (overheard), immigration, etc. She did not even care to direct me inside the Teller or advise me to take a sit or hold for a moment. I was standing there with no clue when their conversation will end! Yeah! so excellent customer service! (This happened Sept 14 at 2pm).

I wish I could give them less stars than 1. Set up a new account, wasn't working, went back in and they "fixed it" the next day it still wasn't working so I called their customer support and was told the person who set it up didn't take off the initial freeze that new accounts have. Customer service booked me a phone appointment for 9 am the next day with Chris Lo the assistant manager. It's currently 3:50pm and Chris still hasn't called. Now I can't get in till Monday to get everything fixed. It's been a week without access to any money. Brutal customer service from this branch.

Will cancel all my accounts/cards with this bank & will never look back. All the employees that I came across to deal with had no clue whatsoever about what the heck they were doing. One department tries to refer you to the other like a football game back and forth for days over a simple issue that they created in the first place. Every time when you call they answer from overseas and the quality of the sound is horrible. At the Brookfield branch from the frontline staff to their so called assistant managers instead of resolving my problem they made every effort to avoid me & turn me away because they couldn't resolve the issue that they themselves created. They don't want to answer your questions, cooperate or deal with you and you're their customer, their fault and this is a bank? The most incompetent, rude, unprofessional and indifferent staff that I have ever come across in my entire life from top to bottom they have no clue or sympathy or understanding whatsoever. I was generating so much money but another good banks deserves my money. ???
