Ken is simply the best! At first I was worried about doing something permanent to my head and was worried how it would look but Ken assured me to trust the process and now its looking better then ever. It looks so natural nobody can tell. If you are looking for SMP Ken is the way to go trust me. The best in Calgary for sure.

Amazing, thorough SMP training. Ken doesn't hold back any of his tips and tricks that he has learned over the last 10+ years of doing SMP. I reached out to Ken after taking another course that included various PMU training and Paramedical Tattooing. It was about an hour into that course that I realized I'd be scammed and the instructors teaching lip blush, brows, areola tattooing and SMP, didn't even do these services! Some "teachers" had never even done SMP ever. Insane. The situation I got myself into, so many others have done the same so do yourself the biggest favour and get it right the first time and do your SMP training with Ken! He customizes each training session so that you get the most out of it and really works with you to make sure you leave feeling confident and knowledgeable about everything SMP. PERFECTION! (Bit of a long review, but detailed for those with questions!) I looked into various local companies and was blown away by Scalp Tech's info & reviews so I emailed for a consultation. Within an hour I recieved a reply and set up a time. Arriving at my first meeting I mostly went for information and to see if it was even possible with my light/fair skin tone. Ken treated me like we've known eachother for years and gave me the most valuable information, explained the process, provided great payment options and comfort. I left feeling confident, and with someone who could be trusted and would not be satisfied until I am. Not only that but Ken also has SMP done!, a good sign right from the start. A few days later Ken offered me the opportunit to be a "model" for someone he was training. Their final test would be my first session and from there Ken would take over for remaining sessions. After a call to explain the process I was nervous but Ken"s confidence had me fully trusting so I agree'd. That first session I was blown away as Ken was VERY involved, sharing knowlege, helping them and proving he is a clear leader in this industry. The most comforting is they were SO WELL TRAINED that I had zero concerns the entire time. There was no uncomfortable moments and the "trainee" kept saying things like "this is exactly how you showed me and Im so confident in my skills". When that first session was complete I was BLOWN AWAY by what I seen in the mirror. Both myself and the trainee put Ken on a petestal! As Ken will explain it is a process...not a procedure. All our skin types are different. Ken estimated I would be a 3-4 session process as I have light/fair skin and it almost never seen the sun (tough skin & oily). A "session" is about once every 2 weeks for a couple hours each time. Virtually painless the day of and none in the following days. it was crazy how easy it was to be the client! Back for my second session and as explained things did lighten up, and my skin pushed out some of the ink but thanks to Ken's detailed information it was totally expected!. I was not left feeling uncertain or confused, I knew he would add as we went along. As he says "I can paint your head very dark in one session but we need you to look natural, not rediculous". My second session went by in a couple hours and I began the next 2 week healing to go back for session #3. Arriving for session #3 and things lightened up even less!, to the point I was already recieving compliments from the people I showed!. Clearly the process was taking shape and Ken's color selection was right on track..and everything he said/predicted/advised was 100% accurate. After session 3 it looked AMAZING once healed. I wasn't even sure IF I needed another but via Ken's recommendation I stopped by so he could look at it and give me his opinion. He knew best and is SO detailed, SO considerate, Such a perfectionist that I almost "needed" his final word. He decided on one quick "blend" to finish it off and what can I say...amazing. I was already satisfied and he went the extra step to make it his level of perfection. Now fully healed & completed what can I say other then best decision of my life. Unless I tell someone, they have no idea this was done by a person. All my worries about light skin are erased by an exact color that looks absolutely natural. the first time someone who didnt know I had it done said "why do you wear a hat, you look incredible with a shaved head" was an amazing feeling. Ken runs an amazing business with a ton of integrity and clearly values the client & Understands you as a human with insecurities. The level of confidence I gained back is something I never knew possible. I could say it's worth way more then the money spent, infact I feel now that I owed him more then I was charged...it's THAT GOOD!. Never a bad experience and never promised anything I didnt recieve. Every single thing from start to finish was expected and I never felt confused, uncertain or mis-informed. I would do ANYTHING to recommend Ken & Scalp Tech.

I finished my 3 sessions over a year ago now and let me tell you that the work Ken did on my head is IMMACULATE, it looks so natural, as close to the real thing as it gets. I couldn’t be happier with my results.. I literally haven’t worn a hat since! The moment I walked into his office the first time he made me feel at ease, walked me through the process, I knew I’d come to the right place. Ken isn’t just the best at what he does, he’s truly an excellent person all around, who’s only real interest is your complete satisfaction.

This is my first review I’ve ever done. I’m a busy guy and I never really take the time. But this time I couldn’t not.Ken changed my life. I went balled super early like 23 and got 7 years walked around with hats and just hating my head if my hat fell of I immediatly put it back on. I would even swim with a hat. Nervous isn’t even the word I would use to describe how scared I was to Get this done when u see all the bad stuff on the web. Ken changed my life. I no longer feel ashamed of my head. I don’t swim with a hat. I don’t wear hats. Not that I look younger not that people don’t wonder why I’m bald so young is why I’m writing this. I’m writing this because he made me love myself again. He’s professional his place is immaculate and he’s just and all nice guy. Hands down best in Canada . I searched for two years and I’m Glad I waited. Thanks Ken man. I don’t know if you know the impact of what you do for people but I sure hope You do man .

I had a great 4 days of training from Ken. He is answered all my questions, gave advice on providing how to do quality work, and was open to me doing extended training when I had asked for an altering our schedule. He provided a thorough module, and he works with a dermatology board, gave a solid color theory understanding so combined with his years of experience, he was the best mentor out there. He is open and continues to provide me with great support with scalp micropigmentation. Choose him and you'll get the best training ever!
