โ โ โ โ โ Truly authentic food, including dosa and idly, prepared fresh. Friendly staff. Only down side is that they use styrofoam containers and plastic cutlery, including plastic straws, for takeaway food. Until they adopt a more environmentally responsible practice, I cannot give them anything more than 3 stars, even though they offer what is probably the best food in HUB on UAlberta campus (maybe as good as Filistix in SUB).

โ โ โ โ โ One can't describe the feeling when you crave for food you had back home and you get to relish the same taste and warmth somewhere so far away from home. It was pure bliss!! Me and my husband come to the Savoy's express at the Hub at least once a week (if not more) and catch up on our nostalgias! Loads of love and keep up the good quality and tastes !
Edit : Although I would not change my stars in terms of the quality of food, I would really like Savoys to change from using plastic/ styrofoam take away containers to biodegradable ones as the current practise is a very environment un-friendly !!

โ โ โ โ โ Not the cheapest place in hub for students but still reasonable. They're food is excellent. I loved how their daily special came with so many different items in a single meal. Some of the best, if not the best Indian food I have ever had. My favorite restaurant in hub mall.

โ โ โ โ โ Savoy's has always had the flavour. Definitely worth it just for that alone.
But the reason I'm writing this review is to commend the gentleman who helped me with my order. When ordering their combo, the woman that took my order did not tell me that I had a choice in my vegetarian options and gave me something that wasn't quite to my liking. I tried to take it back to her but she refused, only to have the gentleman working at the counter help me out and give me a substitute.
What an absolute gem of a man.
Recommend this for the flavor AND the service

โ โ โ โ โ Only place in UofA to get some indian food. combo comes with paratha,rice, 4 curries and drink is really worth for what we have paid. Food tastes like back home food( but not that spicy). Dosa and kothu parathas are really worth trying. I suggest chicken fried rice over chicken biryani.

โ โ โ โ โ Their food is alright nothing amazing but their customer service is even worse than food. I do take out from here since it's close to my work And I do take out after work.And they always say 25min and after 25 min I go in and they make u wait another 20 min. For ONE DHOSA. Its not justified that it takes nearly 1hour everytime to make one dhosa. Once or twice it's understandable it takes time but it's been more than 5 times and their quality of service keeps dropping. Wouldn't recommend to anyone just because of their timmings. And their front end workers are so unfriendly.

โ โ โ โ โ Food was edible. Looked bland and disgusting though. Their customer service is absolutely abhorrent, from not wearing masks or gloves to coughing openly while cooking food. Their employee hygiene is terrifying. Definitely would not recommend.
Edit: I changed my mind, couldn't even finish the meal because of how overly sweet it is.

โ โ โ โ โ Ordered the non-vegetarian combo and like I've had it three times before, it was excellent. The only issues I have is a lack of rice so I had to order more, and the drink cups are pretty small. Overall, the price is good for the amount of food included. The spiciness is very mild for ethnicities used to spicy foods (ex. Bicolanos, Indians, and Hispanics) so those who aren't used to spicy food should definitely give this place a try ?.
Might be the freshest food in all of HUB but I haven't tried everything in HUB yet.
