In the current health-care model, even the most dedicated physicians can get overwhelmed with administrative work, leaving them less time for collaboration or review with other experts. In this reactive model, patients may feel like they need to be their own advocate, do more of the leg work themselves and push to learn what complementary treatments could be available.
In Satori’s new model, our PHPs become champions for the patients they’re working with. PHPs, usually Nurse Practitioners, review files, refer patients to specialists, and foster a spirit of collaboration between practitioners in the Network. This proactive model leads to better long-term patient outcomes and gives medical experts more time to focus on what matters most; the people who need their help.
