We took 4 adults and 2 kids under 3, it cost around $75. Not complaining about the price but when we got in there everything was either broken or blocked off so we paid $75 just to walk around and look at everything the kids couldn’t play or explore anything. It was a big disappointment.

I am very disappointed to see that they still have mandatory masking. This should be optional. This is a crime against all the children who want to fully enjoy the experience with their smiles on display. Shame on you

Took the kids this afternoon and it feels like 75% of the stuff is gone. Shouldn’t be charging full admission if there is nothing to do. Usually the kids are good for 3-4 hours of activities but after 45minutes it was hard to keep them interested in staying.

Absolutely ridiculous that they are still requiring masks! And when asked how the masking policy works they refuse to answer. How does forcing everyone including toddlers to mask protect others?? If someone is immune compromised then they will wear a mask to protect themselves right? So why do healthy people have to mask as well? It's virtue signaling and nothing more! Absolutely disgusting to implement this especially onto children!!

This was a total waste of money. There were hardly any exhibits, and the ones that were there, 90% didn’t work. Staff was very friendly, but there was hardly anything for our kid to do. I took my niece about 5 years ago and we had so much fun, there was so much to do and she loves it. I was very excited to take my kid and we were very disappointed at the state of it now.

During this covid-era, summer 2021, they are limiting you to 75 minutes in the science center. Honestly, it was underwhelming. Dated exhibits that were only mildly interactive at best. The hockey area and Kevin(I think that was his name) who demonstrated on how computer programming works, were easily the highlights of the day. The joy lab is mostly good for photo opportunities and the Lego exhibit is a bunch of tall towers made from Lego that you can't touch with buckets of Lego on the tables. For a family of 4, cost us around $75. That included the Imax presentation, Into Nature's Wild. It was great but only lasted 30 minutes. All in all not an awful way to spend the day, but keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.

I specifically waited to take my kids here until the mask mandate was over. We arrived yesterday only to find out that the Science Centre has decided to still mandate masks. Not only are they choosing to still mandate something that government ended, their staff is extremely rude about it. I asked the man working at the ticket till why we had to wear a mask and he replied β€œyou have to wear a mask to visit a cancer ward you can wear one here” Since when does a social activity compare to a hospital!? My kids are 2, 4 & 6. We had security remind my children multiple times to properly adjust their masks. Side note: the joy lab is closed, you have to arrive within a 1 hour time slot, and you can’t hear staff presentations because they’re so muffled by a mask. We won’t be returning. I’ll gladly drive my kids to the science centre in Calgary. Also educate your staff.

Lots of activities for younger children to teenagers, and a decent playground outside. Count on at least three to four hours if you want to visit all areas and exhibits. Because of COVID restrictions they were only allowing 2-hour time slots, but they did allow us to come for part of an extra slot because their bookings were only about half full.
