BackThe life cycles for the materials recycled at SARCAN all have an interesting story! Aluminum has a closed-loop recycling process, which means that recycled cans turn back into new cans. The beverage you enjoy in a can today could be back on the shelf as a new can in as little as 60 days!
Plastics are turned into different kinds of recycled plastic products, such as park benches and plastic wood. Plastic flake gets used to create things like fleece jackets and automotive carpeting.
Clear glass gets melted down and turned into little tiny beads that get added into road paint to create reflectivity. On Saskatchewan highways, over five million pounds of recycled glass from SARCAN are put in the white and yellow lines on the road every year!
Coloured glass gets turned into fibre glass insulation. Cartons are turned into recycled paper products, and so much more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I called the other day to see how long of a wait there was here at Sarcan I was greeted by "what do you want" Then I asked her how long of a wait she replied " ugh an hour and a half" and hung up. I understand you guys are busy right now with people coming in and probably very rude customers which doesn't help. But you should still have respect for people calling and actually being polite. That lady was very rude and harsh.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always go here, you can check how busy it is online. So, it makes it easy and convenient. The staff there work very hard, always friendly, and it's always clean. No complaints!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Says it's not busy online, go there and there's a line down the block... complete incompetence, they should be aware, if they say "Live" now. Security should be outside making sure the patrons in the line are safe! Altercations are occuring over nothing than intoxicated people passing by. The sidewalk MUST be hosed down, it's sticky as fluids leak from numerous bags and starting to smell!
The 2 stars are for the staff members who try to do their best in a bad situation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I still like going to this sarcan but the cockroaches and other bugs kinda freaks me out I am always looking at the floor making sure nothing runs up my pant leg but I know some of the staff and they are super friendly people say that they are rude and angry I only think the young teenage boy is the rude one he doesn't like to do his work he shakes his head at you like your not supposed to bring in your bottles
