We took some lambs here for some customers. We had previously had a good experience but this time they took three times longer than in the past. They forgot to keep track of the lambs so they didn’t know how to cut them. Even after we called them to find out what was taking so long they didn’t ask for clarification but waited until we phoned again another week later. Even then they didn’t get it right. And they charged us way more than they told us initially. Find somewhere else. We will.

We've been using Sangudo Meat Packers for several years and they're always our first choice and the Packers we recommend to our customers at Kala Ranch. Reasonable prices and good quality cuts. Friendly staff.

I was extremely disappointed when I drove out from Edmonton to visit a place I had bought meat from and had wild game processed for some 25 years. The new owners have made the entrance into a small little area with one cooler. There are no fresh meats nor bacons, various sausage cuts, or coolers and freezers full of meat to buy directly. In fact when going there, there was a grand total of 4 packages of sausage to buy. 3 jalepeno sausage and one bratwurst. The person that came out of the back seemed to know nothing of sales, and even admitted to not even being able to run the till. It seems they can and will cut whatever you want, if you call well in advance and order it. This does not speak of a normal butcher shop to me. After calling out a young lady to look after our meager purchase of what they had, she explained they were training a new Sausage girl that would be experimenting with all sorts of sausage. Sounds good, but will not do the average buyer a bit of good if there are no coolers with the meat in them. It appears that the new owners have focussed on the restaurant and wholesale side of things, as there is no way in the world that they could sell a standard selection of meats like every other butcher shop I have ever been into. The may have all sorts of new methods of doing things, but they are no longer a local customer based operation. It was a sad day for us to go out and see that this has become some sort of 'order from home or business' type operation. It was a great place to go and buy meats in the past. Do not go there if you expect to buy some roasts, steaks, etc...there are none to see or buy...what a shame.

If your after beef aged 28 days and cut and wrapped to perfection, this is the place. I must suggest their bone in steaks, prime rib roasts and short ribs are must! They have a very easy unloading facility to drop off your live animals. This is a company that takes pride in their product and is about to leave their competition in the dust. You can even order whole animals produced by local farmers cut, smoked, wrapped and delivered right to your door. Huge fan of this hidden gem!

I have been taking my animals to sangudo custom meats for 35 years. That means I did my own meat for a decade. When he shut, I tried others to my grand disappointment. For a decade I processed my own. I am just to old now. A couple years ago I decided to try scm again as they had resrarted under new management. They are just as good as Ivan was. Sorry Ivan. Maybe even better:))

Had a massive hog killed and cut. These guys and gals are pro. And fun people to boot. Great prices. Beautiful cuts. My go to butcher now.

They are a small town butcher shop, they don't keep their main selection in the front til. But Thursdays are their kill days, go in any Thursday they cut you whatever cut you want right in front of your eyes if you'd like. Prime AAA beef we've ordered burgers and steaks for events and they always turn out to be a hit. Reasonable prices for cutting and wrapping and a friendly staff. Not a city butcher shop, less selection of sausages and jerky but better quality.

We brought our moose here after struggling to find a good option in the city. The owner was beyond helpful and patient in guiding us to figure out which cuts to pick and how to choose between all the different options. We had garlic sausage and jalapeno cheddar smokies made and they were both delicious. Service was great, cut time was fast and prices were fantastic. A+ for professionalism. We will definitely use them again in the future.
