Sandshell Trailer Park

The place is very clean and tidy, but the owner of the Trailer is very rude, rude and uses many bad words in front of everyone, even if he has children. My family witnessed a situation where a child was throwing small stones in the lake and was screaming by the owner of the place, suppressing the child's action to her parents. In my opinion there is no point in risking going there and being mistreated by this person because I think he doesn't want to rent the space to someone he doesn't know.

The owner is very rude and has poor choice of words ....totally un-canadian like! I have been to very remote parts of world but nothing baffles me as this guy!

Never happened to you doesn't mean it never happened. I don't know they are owners or staffs but one guy always say F word to me and my wife and the other guy have fun with those F words. They are not welcoming to anyone they don't know. That's why they get just 3.x star from reviewers. I hope they are enjoy whatever services they have. Bad reviews never kill any businesses if it's not true or if they want to improve. You will see it if you stay with them long enough.

You are not safe here! Your family is not safe here! Your property is not safe here! The owner is a scam artist! Will take your fees, damage your property and kick you out! He sinks boats, breaks windows , damages boats and trailers over the winter when no one is there. He Will creep up on you on the middle of the night and stalk and harass you. He will scream and swear at you and your children. The park is a dump! Skids and piles of rubble everywhere. If you enjoy sirens blaring all hours and tractors constantly running and driving erratically on early weekend hours then this may just be the park for you! Ask the OPP in Peterborough if any of the above is untrue.

This is by far the worst place to ever have a trailer! Wayne the owner is very racist and will make that very clear. He also will find anyway possible to scam people. We purchased a trailer off of him, paid all the fees and completely renovated the trailer. Just as the trailer was finished being renovated he gave us a trespassing letter and kicked us off his property. Knowing we did work to the old trailer that could not leave the property. We did not even get to stay one night in our new trailer before being kicked out for no possible reason. He resides at a dumpy trailer at the front of the campground and is always harassing everyone. The opp is very aware of him and unfortunately they cannot do anything about it. Please do yourself a favour and stay far away from Sandshell park!

We love our "home away from home." Trailer spaces are large. Dont feel on top of each other. Great bunch of campers at the park. Strong "community" feeling. Owner is in top of everything. Never have we had an issue within the park. Zero complaints. Pigeon Lake is very nice. Small but perfect for fishing. Local stores are close and convenient. Totally recommend this park.

We love it here. It is a clean, well maintained park. The people are really welcoming, like a little family community. I couldn't be happier with our decision to purchase a home away from home here♥️

Thé absolute worst owner you can possibly have to deal with. The play structures are old and outdated. The supposed public washrooms are non existed as they have not ever been open in the three years we were there. He hit on our Young daughter who was visiting us. The place looks like a junk yard. The owner has no respect for any visitor to his park. He has suddenly decided to ban us from the property without reason. When asked why we got no response. Told us in March that we had until May 1st to remove a trailer that we have no ownership for but we were not allowed on the property. After several texts requesting a time that we could go he never responded. He only responded once we said we were coming at the end of April he responded to say we could only go on May 7. When we finally got on the property to remove our personal belongings he had all kinds of junk around the trailer and yelled that we could not park on the grass but then had us park on the grass across the roadway from the trailer so we could not get close to the trailer with the truck. Also a load of firewood that we had under the deck was stolen. We removed our personal belongings including a deck that we legally purchased from another camper and have receipts to prove it He has since continued to harass us by text about removing a trailer for which we have no ownership??? He has now threatened to have the trailer removed and that we would be forwarded the cost to us. This man Is not trustworthy has purposely damaged other trailers and sheds in the park without any regard for the people who stay there We firmly believe the only reason he is upset with us is all because of the deck we purchased that he thought he would be able to sell to someone else and now we have taken this deck away with us.
