Amazing spot! Ignore the negative review - they didn't walk far enough.

The sand dunes were pretty grown over with grass, not worth the hike for us.

I try to hike the dunes once a year, it's a beautiful walk for sure. Please remember to take water, its a long hike. Close toed shoes are a must, there are cacti along the entire trail. I only wish there were benches along the whole trail, there are a couple at the beginning but none towards the end.

It's a lovely walk through Aspen groves to get to the dunes. The dunes themselves are an otherworldly experience. Sand dunes in Saskatchewan, what's up with that? Take water. The nearby beaches on the lake have amazing sand, perhaps not unsurprisingly. It's as nice as the Okanagan with a fraction of the tourists.

Unique hike for Saskatchewan. The dunes are a couple of km's into the trail and worth the hike. Its pretty cool once you hike into the dunes a bit and are surrounded by sand. Lots of cactus, juniper, and aspen to see along the way too.
