C	Carol Church on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the variety of vegetables offered at the Hwy 2 farm stand in Kingston, including heirloom varieties. So much more selection and flavour than what is offered in grocery stores. It is also an opportunity to try some new vegetables. Staff are very helpful and will give advice on how to prepare the produce. Morgan also offers a variety of recipes on their website. If you haven't discovered this little gem it is definitely worth your while to check them out.

Morgan & Charles and their family make this experience so welcoming and fun. There is lots of space for kiddies to run around and the natural surroundings make shopping at Salt of the Earth so very pleasurable. As a diehard open Market shopper, I have to say that this farm stand is outstanding! There produce all season is the best you can buy in the area. And... did I mention how friendly and helpful Morgan and her team are? Beyond!! They are full of information about their goods and always willing to go the distance to ensure you get what you need. I, for one am so happy that they are still open late into the season and continue to provide an abundance of high quality food. In addition to growing excellent food, running two farm stands and raising a growing family this young couple are committed to giving back to the community, having raised several thousand dollars to contribute to Kingston food. If you haven‘t already, take the drive down Highway 2 east and experience Salt of the Earth for yourself! You will not be disappointed and your family will definitely eat better because you did! It was always nice to see Morgan and the kids at the farmstand when I went to pick up my weekly veggies, and my own kiddos liked to visit the pigs and cows when they were down on Hwy 2. Their prepaid card is a super convenient way of paying (never have to worry about not having enough cash on hand). Also love their partnerships with local food banks and charities. Seriously, cannot say enough good things about this place! If you're looking for locally sourced produce, eggs, or meats, this is the place to get it!

The vegetables are superb, the family and staff who run the stand are friendly and knowledgeable, and the setting is sublime. The owners are lovely, always friendly and helpful, and they give great farm tours. Our family has enjoyed being a part of their CSA for the last few years and we are so glad we joined. The quality of the veggies at the farm stand is pretty incredible - it's a lot different than what's at the grocery store - so much colour and flavour.

You can also purchase their very own maple syrup, fresh cut flowers and order beef too! We are delighted to support our local farmers who are dedicated to producing high quality food for the community and in addition, they donate to local charities. They offer fresh locally grown veggies, eggs, meat as well as maple syrup (so good!). We were first introduced to them when we signed up for our veggie farm share (CSA) years ago. They now offer a great prepaid card system which is super neat. Highly recommend stopping by their farm stand on highway 2 if you can - don't forget to bring cash!
