St. Charbel is a well known Saint from Lebanese roots and the church is named after him since most of the congregation is made of Canadians from Lebanese roots.
The Church welcomes EVERYONE, from all origins or religions denominations.
The Church celebrates The Assumption Feast of Saint Mary the Virgin into Heaven (often shortened to the Assumption) on August 15th annually, and the popular festival is celebrated by the public for four days on the grounds of the church, in addition to religious services within the church.
This important Eastern Catholic Church feast celebrates the bodily taking up of the Virgin Mary into Heaven at the end of her earthly life.
Check at Church for times of service and mass. Join us for the Assumption Feast a family event, where there is food, games and family entertainment. This year featuring hookah and Amhiyeh (soft wheat treats), and many yummy Lebanese dishes.
