H	Hamad Bukhari on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are looking for authentic continental dishes in Port Elgin (see the pictures of menu) then this is the place to go. But keep in mind they do not serve Alcohol drinks and only open for Dinner from 4 to 8PM and Sunday morning for Breakfast only! So better to get reservation one day before. The reason for this much short window is because they make everything fresh and start preparation around 12noon. They really know what they are doing and people come and rate them number one in Port Elgin. Our server was owner herself and she gave us very detailed overview of specials of the day. The beauty of this place is that every day they have different specials, we got an appetizer made of some veggie which I never heard of but it was very tasty. My friend wanted butter chicken, both quality and quantity was very good. Lot of chicken, very good quality Basmati rice and fresh crisp Naan. I will definitely go again to try other great dishes they have on menu. They also have kids menu. The service was very quick and place is neat and clean. Enjoy! ?

The owner welcomed us into the restaurant, cleaned the tables (as it was very busy) and was very thorough about the ingredients of the dishes and explained the specials of the day. Wonderful delicious food. You will not be disappointed. The dessert was wonderful, tasty and was the perfect size for us to share as the meal was very filling. Next visit we will each try something different. We had Butter chicken with rice and homemade Naan. And the Moroccan Stew (vegetarian) had some heat to it. The Chai tea was perfect with the Butter chicken! Thank you Jen for an amazing experience.

Took the short cut but the field was wet, slippery and muddy all together. 30 minutes after we made it to our destination, and we were served a delicious and satisfying meal! We had been coming to this restaurant for years. However, this is my first time to have chimichanga, which by the way is now my new Saffron favourite! It should be in the regular menu I think! It was delectable! I wish I ordered another one to bring home! We had Indian curry soup and bean sprout as a starter. It's a bit spicy, but our little ones enjoyed it too! And then our chicken chimichanga arrived with our order of butter chicken with extra naan bread! Our girls go crazy over this bread so we knew better to order extra. They are deliciously warm and crispy on the sides. Next we had our order of peanut stew (this is the regular menu) but this is the first time we've ordered this. Definitely the mildest of all the dish we've had here so far and I guess the least of my favourite. If you are new to eating Mexican spicy food, this would be the good place to start. Lastly, we tried their dates and coconut cream (?) cake. Very dense and sweet! I wouldn't want to eat a big slice of this. It's very rich. We enjoyed it and our kiddos love it too! Heads up to those allergic to nuts, this won't be for you since one of the main ingredients is walnuts. For the price, and the quality and quantity of food you get, this is I think the best restaurant in town.

The owner was really knowledgeable and helped us order four different dishes (two to have over there and two to go). They all were really amazing, and every single bite took me back to my grandma’s where I had the most delicious home-made food in my entire life. Customer service, food variety, portions and atmosphere over there were also great.

It was absolutely phenomenal. The spices were incredible. Portions were very generous - my partner and I each had dinner the next day. Staff was courteous and so kind. I can't say enough good things about Saffron.

Good portions, good service, great tasting food. The bread is baked in house and is terrific. We came back to Port Elgin for a quiet and safe New Years celebration during the pandemic. We ordered take out Lentil falafel with sour cream dip Chickpea salad Beef brisket burrito and for dessert Germán Chocolate Cake Huge portions, wonderful recipes, lots of choices , great staff, service and price. Don’t miss this unique restaurant!
R	Rei on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saffron has the best Sunday brunch in town, heck maybe even the best I've had so far in Ontario! Always order the special menu of the day, they never disappoint! And of course the Bollywood benedict is a classic ? The portion is also generous and well worth the price. They also have good selection of vegetarian menu so it's definitely the place to go if you're a vegetarian!
