Great place for anyone. To help you plan both job and post secondary career paths. They truly care and try to help you. Give them respect and show them your willing to put in the work too. This place offers a great circle of support and encouragement.

I have been going here and I was unhappy with the services my counselor was providing. I wanted to talk to Anita Neef about switching someone else that would be more helpful and knew what they were doing. but she said come back but hangs up on me, I needed to ask another question but she just instantly hung up. I called her back to tell her she was rude then she hangs up again. I have just contacted the better business burea and now they will be hearing from them really soon. THANKS FOR THE GREAT JOB. I did not need to complain about them if she wanted to resolve the issue right away but she can be like that and deal with the consequences.......... Hope you get fired Anita Neef

I finished my upgrading with the Lethbridge College & ADLC to become an Electrician. When i finished my schooling i was looking for someone to help me get hired on with a good Electrical Company, so i went to Saamis Aboriginal Employment & Training Association. I met with Marilyn Iron Heart & Sheldon Blackwater. Both of these individuals helped me build a successful resume, which landed me a Apprenticeship with an Electrical Company within a week. Now I'm working as a full-time Commercial Electrician & I'm going for my first year in the fall.

Saamis Aboriginal has been a fundamental support to the urban aboriginal community in the Lethbridge area for many years. They are readily available, easily accessible, and the staff goes out of their way to ensure that the client base is connected with supports needed whether it be employment or otherwise. I cannot thank this organization enough for supporting myself and our family to establish ourselves and ensure we connected with resources, and I strongly encourage others to utilize this valuable agency!
