Ryan Luchuck Voice & Artist Development

Years and years of screaming and singing in metal bands had taken its toll on my voice. My endurance disappeared, my range had become extremely limited, and even speaking posed a challenge. Over the last 2.5 years Ryan has helped me fully restore my voice. He has taught me proper technique, and how to approach singing in a nondestructive way. He’s also a cool dude. When I came to Ryan a year ago, I firmly believed that I would never sing again. Years of abuse and little knowledge of how the voice actually works took a toll on me. The worst pain however was losing confidence in my voice and the self doubt that comes with it. I had felt like I lost all the freedom my voice had once given me. Ryan and Own Your Voice gave me back that freedom. Working closely with my needs, Ryan helped me rebuild my confidence by educating me on what is really going on behind the curtain when one sings, and how we can leverage that knowledge to return my voice to a healthy state. His techniques and methodologies are restorative in nature yet he always manages to push you a little further each lesson to work a little harder, try something new and keep progressing. Ryan's is incredibly knowledgeable with years of experience as an exceptionally talented musician/singer himself, not to mention a great mentor, professional, friendly, and knows his way around the recording studio. His extensive knowledge in voice training, and patience in helping me deal with some vocal issues has brought me to a point where I can get through a night of several hours of singing without feeling any strain on my voice. My daughter has been with Ryan since October and absolutely loves learning from him. We wish we would have found him years ago as her voice has improved immensely in this short time. He offers many opportunities outside of the studio for her to improve her voice and get comfortable on stage in front of an audience. I've been taking lessons from Ryan for just over a year now and I'm loving them! I look forward to the lessons every week! Ryan is patient and makes you feel so comfortable during the lessons. He has a strong music background that allows him to be able to pinpoint areas that need work and will give you tailor-made exercises to build your vocal range. I used to be so self-conscious about my voice and vocal range (or lack thereof, so I thought). I've had singing coaches over the years, and it's with confidence that I can say Ryan is the best coach so far – not only he personalizes each lesson based on your strengths and weaknesses, he also advocates lifelong learning even for a "vocal veteran" like himself (which is incredibly inspiring!)
