★ ★ ★ ★ ★ certifying a vehicle roadworthy for a long trip, only to have it break down a few days later - unsat! not only that, but to find a mouse nest in the air filter and a cracked head (to name but a few of the issues), one can only assume they did NOT in fact conduct a thorough vehicle check.

I stand corrected... less than 3 days into my trip we had a breakdown where we discovered an old mouse nest in the air filter.
There were numerous other problems that should have been identified by a competent mechanic during an inspection... including seeing that the drive shaft was hitting the muffler or that there was a blown valve and cracked head (identifiable by a trained mechanic observing the running engine) and a major exhaust leak (potentially leathal).
The vehicle should not have passed safety.
I paid $4500 for a safety and pre-trip check that was useless; another $5k was blown in roadside repairs and another $5k+ in personal costs/loss of revenue.
I went to them in good faith.
Do not trust this vendor.

Add to the list:
- 3 of the plug cables were just hanging loose under the engine; two others have major breaks/cuts
- Transmission bell housing has a crack; another safety check failure.
- had they actually looked at the engine they may have noticed at least two vacuum lines were disconnected.

Parts, as always are the issue with needing things repaired. Wish all dealerships were this quick and friendly and accommodating. Keep up the great work.
