Ruby Concrete

I'm very disappointed in how they have ignored my calls and any form of communication in regards to the outstanding work in the basement I got finished by them, along with all the cracks that have appeared in the concrete poured and paved by them. I basically wrote up a letter, emailed them and texted them multiple times. They just don't care! The 2 STARS are just because they did do some work. I am posting the images of the letter I sent Ruby Concrete below in this review.

Professional, quick, and amazing communication. And unlike my neighbour complaining.. CLEAN. My frontyard and backyard looks beautiful. And I 100% recommend them.

Thorough professionals and know very well how to do their job. Since I am a first time home owner, I had very little idea what to do and how it needs to be done. They guided me through it and were so flexible and helpful throughout the job. My sidewalk and backyard looks so beautiful now with the concrete work. They took all necessary precautions during COVID to avoid any exposure to anyone as well.

My family had an amazing experience with Ruby concrete! We get so many compliments on our new driveway from everyone that passes. I’m surprised that people have a bad experience with Ruby Concrete...especially since some of them are complaining about cleanliness over a construction zone. lol anyways 10/10 recommend!!!

Ruby did our driveway, front porch and back patio in exposed aggregate back in April 2019... it was a very expensive project that we saved for over the years, and gave our house an incredibly beautiful curb appeal. Not only are we proud of the great work Ruby did with his team, we receive compliments to this day, especially from neighbors, family and friends. We also receive inquiries from strangers who stop by our house to ask who did our driveway, and we also caught some taking pictures... we point to them Ruby's contact info stamped on the concrete at the bottom of our driveway. We've allowed his contact info to remain visible as free advertising for Ruby, and as a token of our appreciation so others can contact him and turn their driveways into a beautiful sight. Ruby had advised us in 2019 that the areas should be resealed every 2 years, and so we decided to reseal this year. We purchased the sealer referred by Ruby which is the one that he uses, read all instructions and proceeded with sealing the front porch and back patio in June, and sealed the driveway on Sunday, July 25. The porch and patio look as beautiful as when Ruby first did them, but something went terribly wrong with the driveway that looks horrible with white "hazy spots" that we have no clue as to why. We called Ruby right away for his assistance in how to proceed, and he told us he'd come by to have a look the next day... unfortunately, we have been contacting him every day since July 25 and he has not come yet. We just need his professional advice; we cannot call any other company that is obviously not going to care about helping when someone else did the job. It is very important for any company to get new clients in order to remain profitable, but they need to remain available to help those who trusted them and helped them to get where they are today... past and existing clients are both important as their reviews and word of mouth are extremely important, before and after a job is done. If we continue to be disregarded, we will have no choice but have Ruby come and remove the stamped contact info from our driveway, for we cannot continue in good conscience to provide free advertising for his company when we are neglected behind the scenes. Please Ruby, do the right thing and help your past customers to make sure we continue to be proud of the work you do, and the after-service you provide. We realize that this is busy season for Ruby and this review will be updated as soon as the issue has been resolved, for we believe that Ruby will treat us as he would like to be treated. Al & Maria UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 10, 2021: Ruby fixed our driveway and it looks as beautiful as when it was first done in 2019. He apologized for the delay as this is his busiest season, and we are glad that he restored our trust in him by assisting us with our dilemma.

Update the original review - A year after the concrete was put in (2019) I noticed cracks on a few different areas. I contacted Ruby and he came by, saw that cracks and said no problem it will be fixed but nothing was done. This year (2020), I emailed again twice and was told he would be by in September, we are now at the end of October and still no fix and now there is no response to my text or voicemail messages. I have been giving his cards out to everyone who as asked for referrals about this company so for the sake of being fair, I have to tell the good and the bad. I am also going to be posting this to the various bulletin boards I have posted my review on. G M About 3 or 4 months ago I started researching and pricing some concrete work I wanted done at my home. After about 5 quotes I was becoming discouraged since the prices were quite high. About a month ago, while driving through Brampton, I saw Ruby concrete in the midst of a job and stopped to get a business card. That evening Ruby came to my home and gave me a quote that while not the cheapest was definitely better than some of the others. I hired him even though I was a little hesitant as I had not heard of them before and because I have recently had a very bad experience with hiring another contractor for some work on my house. Turns out that was a great decision. Ruby and his staff were exceptionally professional and on point. My job was completed in the time that they said it would be and was done perfectly. To say that I am thrilled with the work is putting it mildly. The only thing they didn't do before they left was reinstall my AC (lol)... my property was left spotlessly clean. I would definitely be recommending them to anyone I know that needs to have concrete work done! Thank you Mr Ruby for the amazing work!

You ask them for appointments and than they take forever to come back to you. Very unprofessional. My back yard project got delayed by 2 weeks just waiting for these people to get back to me. My bad but please be cautious dealing with them.

I didn't hire them, but my neighbour did and the concrete dust ruined my interlocking. They also left concrete dust all along the road and didn't make one attempt to clean it up. I'm still upset to walk along the side of my house to see the concrete stains. UPDATE: I've also attached some photos now which shows the stains on the side of our house. If you see the cut lines on the right, you can see tye corresponding stains on our home on the left.
