Just be sure to save Your receipts from this place. My Father passed away in March and the Burial Park was payed for their services by a Bank Draft on March 24th. June 7 I get a phone call from man (name starting with M) asking when I planned to pay for their service. I told him that it was paid in full. He continued to insist that it had not been paid even after I asked him to check their records. I then took the time to go to the bank and get a copy of the certified cheque which also showed that the Burial Park received and cashed it. I took the document to the Burial Park asked to see M and I handed the record of payment to Him. I received no apology what so ever of his mistake. He just said Thank You. Needless to say I was somewhat disgusted with that behavior.

My folks were gardeners their whole lives. Both have passed and are interred side by side in a gorgeous spot by the mausoleum. We arranged for a flat duel grave marker that is outstanding in construction and design. Very helpful, professional staff.

Mom buried had gran in 2008 at Royal Oak. She told us that she originally tried another local cemetery and they were a bit aggressive with their sales for her but was extremely happy with Royal Oak’s staff. We recently had mom pass away and used Royal Oak again. They were great. Mom used West Coast Monuments or the upright and was very pleased so we used them again for the flat headstone and were also pleased. The cemetery is very picturesque in the fall and spring when the tree leaves are changing colours. The cemetery seems to have many options available.

Over the past 20 years I have had the opportunity to converse with the staff at ROBP, due to three of my immediate family members passing during this time. Susan, the receptionist was terrific and the rest of the staff were not that far behind. Compassionate and understanding. Thank you.

It's been more than a year since our father passed away, but we still remember the courteous and helpful service here. I imagine the staff have seen thousands of families come through their doors, but they retain a cheerful and professional attitude, with matter-of-factness, even a slight sense of humour about their job, which was helpful for this disoriented death newcomer. We never felt pressured to buy or do more than we intended, which is more than can be said about other funeral homes in town. Believe me, you should check out more than one place, to find one you are comfortable with.

I come here to visit three of my grandparents who were laid to rest here and the paternal grandfather of a pair of my maternal cousins. Usually the staff does basic maintenance but when I go, I go there with garden tools, heavy duty picnic blanket, and a bucket with water and sponge to do extra maintenance and burn incense to pay respect. The place is serene and usually staff going by would greet me with a simple nod. I don't get why this burial park would get some flack and lower the overall score. If you have issues with management with your personal experience, take it up with them directly with a good fight. Giving a 1 star rating to a burial park I would imagine is if the place is scarier than an abandoned mine shaft. There are other cemeteries in town that has much poorer maintenance than here.

I last visited my grandmother's grave about 3 years ago. I was sure I knew exactly where the grave marker was but when I was there yesterday, it appeared to be in a different place. Is it possible to have been moved?
