★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the wonderful experience of help from the Alliston Legion Aug 7/21. I had planned a backyard Celebration of Life for my husband who passed away June 4/21. On Fri. I realized we would be rained out by a threatening Thunderstorm which was to start at 9 am Sat and rain until 11:00 pm. I couldn’t get tents at this late date, so in desperation I called the Alliston Legion. A lovely lady named MaryAnn who is President of Legion Br 171 was only too happy to come to my rescue. I changed the address on our invite emails and sent out the change of venue. Everyone showed up with masks, sanitizer and all CoVid protocol was put into place. We had a lovely memorial afternoon. I want to thank Mary Anne again for all her help and we also had Evelyn as our bar host and she was lovely as well.
