About Rosy Farms
Typically they are about an inch long (2.5 cm) and look like a large elongated blueberry. The juice of the fruit is a very deep crimson to burgundy color and will stain your hands.
Versatile and tough as nails, haskaps are unfazed by harsh Alberta weather. They can withstand up to - 50ºC!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sampled some Rosy Farms Hazcap berries that had been freeze dried...sooo much flavor, great product! These Hazcaps would be amazing in yogurt or granola bars or frozen for using in smoothies! When I met the owner he seemed very conscientious about the environment and quality of his product too, so thats awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I drove out to Rosy Farms today for my first u-pick experience and had a blast! The haskaps were perfectly ripe and easy to pick, and while the grass was wet, if you bring a pair of rubber boots, you'll be golden. Having never gone picking before, I wore sneakers, which were immediately soaked through, bit it was still fun anyways, and I changed back to sandals in the car afterwards.
I would definitely recommend the experience to anyone--it was really cool to be able to pick the berries, and it's encouraged to try one of each variety (using hand sanitizer in between each tasting) so that you know you'll love the kind you're picking. The prices are more than fair--for 4lbs of berries (both containers in my photo), it cost $20. Give yourself about an hour to pick if you're grabbing this amount, or bring lunch and make an afternoon of it. Just don't forget bug spray or sunscreen!
