You can't really access it at the moment, just look from the outside. Hopefully they can convert it into something usable in future. Businesses or lofts or restaurants, etc.

There's a great tour of the old power plant you can go on. Definitely recommend it!

The tour guide was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and informative! She was very well spoken and walked us through the power plant being careful to point out where it's safest as the whole building was not available for the tour. The building itself is very interesting and has a large amount of history! I will happily be going back and will definitely bring family to explore the area further!

Historic building in the Rossdale area. It’s no longer in use and currently closed but the City of Edmonton has some different plans in play and some time in the future it will be used in some way. The building is still in good shape.

We had a very cool tour of this power plant. We learned a lot and had a great time. I love the visions of what this power plant could turn into in the next couple years. our tour guide was fabulous as well. I wish I could remember her name but we started the tour a wee bit late because it was difficult to find parking. Speaking of parking. You definitely want to go at least a half an hour early to find parking because your parking options are quite a distance away from the entrance to the plant. The tour is an hour long. And at the end they gave us a delicious cookie. From my understanding the tours are guided by University students. Maybe that's a coincidence ormaybe it's intentional, I'm not sure. But I like it. Something about students is so refreshing. Around the tour are old pictures of what the area used to look like. And there's a lot of art deco design throughout the space which I did not expect. Loved it. It was the perfect fall date with my husband. I highly recommend the tour in the spring when they become available again.

Tour of the decommissioned power plant. Very informative and the guide, a university student was very knowledgeable. She tired in the Indigenous history in the area with the building of the plant. During construction human remains were found and this led to the eventual burial of these remains just to the west of the plant. This area has been a gathering place for people for 10,000 years.
