I booked an appointment online 10 days in advance. I received a confirmation email and then went into the salon in person a week before hand to ensure my appointment had been booked correctly. I was assured it was.
The day of my appointment I received an email asking if I could come in a half hour later because my stylist was running behind. No problem, these things happen. I replied that was fine. I received an email 2 hours before my appointment thanking me, and saying they would see me soon.
I turn up to my appointment 5 minutes early to be told that my stylist was too busy, and wouldn't see me. They said they had tried to call me but had the wrong number, and that when I had booked online the appointment was actually already taken and so it was too busy and they couldn't see me. I explained the multiple ways I had confirmed my appointment and even showed them the email they had sent me 2 hours earlier, and they said they were sorry but they had asked the stylist if she could fit me in and she had said no. They said they were sorry but that the best they could do was an appointment 4 days later.
I was clearly not an important customer, and will now be finding a stylist who values my business and my time.
