The experience my family & I had at this particular store was unbelievably bad. The employees and manager were incredibly rude and could care less when it came to assisting us in finding my son some sandals. Its very sad to see how people can be so disrespectful when their job is centered around customer service.

I am so incredibly disappointed with the unproffesionalism of the manager and employees at this particular store location. My family and I are on vacation and upon our first visit, my mother and sister purchased shoes from Roots. After a whole day of wearing those shoes, they convinced me to go back to the store and purchase a pair of my own. Unfortunately, they only had one of my size left and one of the shoes was the display shoe. I asked the employee if I could get a discount since I was willing to pay for a pair of shoes where one shoe was touched and tried on by many. She went and asked a guy at the register and they both rudely laughed and said no. I asked if he was the manager and he said no. The girl who was origanilly was assisting me then offered to go speak to the manager. They both were talking in the back room for maybe 5 minutes. The manager finally walks out, completely aware that I was standing there. She walked right by without acknowledging me and went to the register. The girl said sorry, you can order them online. I then walked over and tapped the manager on the shoulder and explained how my family had already purchased two pair of shoes from them and explained why I was asking for a discount. She rudely cut me off and said she couldn’t give me a discount. The guy behind her who laughed when I originally asked started laughing again. I didn’t expect to much from him since he probably never graduated high school. I then responded and said, look I can just have my family return their shoes and order all three online....the manager then says okay we can give you 10% off. Hahaha, no thanks. Part of the entire experience was wanting to get shoes from Canada as we are from Florida on vacation. The poor customer service and lack of intelligence from all employees and the manager led us to leave and never come back or refer friends. I guess you can’t expect to much from those who work in retail for a living.

SO RUDE! Please do yourself a favor and order online. The manager and employees at this store need to be retrained. Their lack of empathy and care for their customers is so disappointing. My daughter and I purchased shoes from here from the sweetest girl but then the next day, when my son came to get a pair of his own, it was a completely different story. Never shopping at Roots again, and definitely referring friends and family to go elsewhere.

I really wish I had never purchased shoes from this location. They were so disrespectful to my brother who has also written a review. They treated us like we were a nuisance and could care less about assisting their customers. The red headed girl who my mother and I had purchased our shoes from was so nice and we could tell she really cared about helping us. She should train the rest of their team including the manager. She gets 5 stars while the rest of the team and manager get 1 star.

The moment we stepped in, the lady on duty told us not to touch anything. Then she asked us if we spoke French. We said no. Then she started to mock us. And we just left

I was at this store about a week ago and bought a red scarf. The ladies at this store were polite, kind, outgoing and very helpful. I really enjoyed my time in the city of Quebec overall, and this store was a highlight. Small but charming and a great location. Best of all, it was great to be able to enjoy Vieux Quebec without all the annoying American tourists. Keep it Canadian Roots:)

Very friendly staff! Shopping here today on Black Friday and every staff I talked to are friendly and helpful. Unlike other store in old Quebec they couldn’t care less about the tourists.

Went there last week-end. was not greeted by a "bonjour" but with a "you need to was your hand" as if we were in the 2020 hysteria. I just turn around and left. Please help them to stay safe and stay away from this place. If she is all alone in the store, she will be safe. If the store close because of that, it will be better, she will be safe at home.
