It was only 33 below, a bitter cold wintery day and I knew it was time to smarten up my car & get it ready for summer cruising season. I took my hot rod into my “guy” for some repairs, and he wanted to clean up the frame some. This meant paint, so where to begin? As a member of the Manitoba Street Rod Association since the 70’s you’d think this stuff would be second nature to me, but I don’t paint my car every day. Some expert advice was necessary and the MSRA members suggested Rondex on Isabel as the only place I should be considering. Stopping in there on a frosty bitter cold Dec. 30th day, the store was spotless, well stocked and tidy. The counter staff was warm & welcoming. I bought in my old paint originally used on my T, as well as the paint code I had. Terrance at the counter examined it all, declaring it still good and together with Travis Cool - the paint pro, made up a couple spray bombs for me. In a short time I was on my way. My “guy” torched up my car and it matched perfectly. I was the happiest gal in Winnipeg. The Rondex store itself was easy to find, had numerous parking spots and surprised me with heaps of ultra-cool pinstripe panels and paintings on their walls. It’s a must see, whether you need paint supplies or not – just go in there and check out the kool art. And if you need a spray bomb of paint for your daily driver, take your car so they can get the paint code and they can make it up for you and give you great advice on how to go about doing the work. I spoke to someone earlier in the day about getting some color match paint for my car. They said they could match it and that they close at 5pm. So i drove from La Broquire MB to Isabel St in Winnipeg MB witch is well over an hrs drive and $50 in gas there and back. I arrived at approximately 4:20 PM, 40 mins before they close. When I went to the counter I was told sorry they can't mix my paint because the paint mix is closed. So i said " are you guys not open until 5pm?" They replied "yes we are but are mixing Booth is not" Is the mixing Booth a different company apart from the Rondex Store or is it part of Rondex and operates Under the same owners, management, hrs????????????????? MAYBE IN THE FUTURE YOU SHOULD ADVERTISE DIFFERENT HRS FOR THE TWO DEPARTMENTS AND LET PPL OVER THE PHONE BE AWARE OF SUCH THINGS, BEFORE WAISTING TIME AND MONEY THEY DON'T HAVE DRIVING THERE.. If you close at 5pm that means you close at 5pm not be prepared to leave at 5 but be able to serve your customers until 5pm. THANKS Rondex for the delightful visit.

Not a great experience. I bought paint for my car repair. They mixed the paint and sent me on my way. Got to the garage, body shop guy spray tested it, it turns out I was sent with the wrong color paint. They didn’t spray test it before they sent me off with it. When returned to Rondex to return it, they tried to tell me I had selected the wrong shade. They had the swatch, said “this was the color selected”, making it my bad judgement. Turns out, the code on the swatch was wrong. I get that mistakes happen, but—*If they had test sprayed the paint before handing it to me this mistake would have been caught before I left the store.*. *Then trying to blame the customer? That wasn’t necessary. That part felt unprofessional to me. If you see in the photo, my car is yellow. Not orange.

Travis is a wealth of knowledge and assistance! It's always awesome dealing with him. Even if they don't have the product I need they're always helpful and provide all the assistance and recommendations possible. And it keeps me coming back. As a girl with lots of classic cars, I've dealt with so many crooks and condescending jerks that I honestly don't think I'd still be able to enjoy and maintain my toys anymore without being lucky enough to find honest helpful shops and guys like Travis. Thanks for being consistently awesome guys! It really means a lot and is too rare these days. ?

A huge thank you to Travis for matching the color needed for the nose of this bus in Nason single stage. The initial optical scan produced a color that was way too far off to be usable. Travis used his skills and knowledge to tweak the formula to the point where it is 100% correct. I could not be happier with the result. If you need supplies, Travis is the guy, Rondex is the place!
