Ron's Rod Shop & Auto Body - Stavely

TL;DR- Ron saved us on a holiday. He is a very good at repairing cars and does it at very generous cost. After crossing the border from Montana to Albert on Labor day 2017 our van blew a tire. For some reason my husband's company stopped adding spares to the company's vehicles (which we are allowed to use for personal use). So I am sitting in the car freaking out deciding if I should taking my chances hoping this shop is open on a holiday or calling the Alberta police non emergency line for help. Luckily I called his number and Ron picked up! I was so happy and we were only a couple mins away. He told us to bring it in and he would take a look at it. When we got there, he looked at the tire and since it is a new dodge caravan he didn't have a tire in that size. He told us not to lose hope and that we would get to where we needed to go. He called around to his friends and asked them for help. ON A HOLIDAY! One of his friends had a used tire that was the right size. His friend brought it over. They jacked the car up, took the tire off, tried to take the pressure sensor the old tire (unfortunately the sensor was faulty and that's what caused the tire to blow) and put the new used tire on sans pressure sensor. Everyone involved was so friendly and willing to help us, but we have to give a lot of credit to Ron. Without him we would have been stranded. We were able to make it to Calgary and get the tire changed the next day. We can thank Ron enough for his generosity and hard work. While we were there he showed us his "hobby." Hot rods that he would fix up and they were amazing. He also does work on repairing cars and is amazing at it. I would not hesitate at all to tell you that Ron is giving you a fair price and does a great job. He was truly a life saver for us. Highly recommend.
