Riverside Resort Qualicum Beach

We stayed at one of the camping sites. The price is very high for what they are offering. The mini golf is an absolute joke. You can’t actually play on the course, the greens are in horrible condition. The pool is ok, they only heat one of the two pools and they don’t have an actual lifeguard on duty, just there staff running it. The washroom situation was unsanitary. They don’t clean them at all and there was only 1 toilet for everyone staying in the resort plus 1 shower. This is not ok with the prices that they are charging. When I asked about the washrooms why they didn’t have the other side open it was shrugged off. Management doesn’t care once they have your money they don’t listen. Half the time I saw the cleaning people smoking in the van they drive around in that has the clean linens for the rooms. Don’t stay you will be very disappointed for the price they charge. If you are going to own a resort put some money into it to keep it looking nice and sanitary for the guests.

The staff are wonderful. If you want a family experience this is it. Great pool and waterslide. So the mini golf had some wear and tear but it's about making family memories not if there's tears in the green. We stayed for a long weekend and we will come back. My family thoroughly enjoyed it ?

I only visited here. But the place is big! Has indoor plumbing washroom and running water and hot showers. The staff all seem happy to be there.

The pool was so much fun I just kept going on the water slide over and over again! The pool is also heated which is nice later in the evening. Having a playground, a pool and a convenience store with ice cream and kid snacks is great for a family with younger kids. And an outdoor public barbecue! Great customer service and a babysitter

IF YOU WANT AN HONEST REVIEW READ TO THE END l laugh when I see anything under a 5 rating for this resort. I am a permanent resident here and I can tell that the season is upon us. Mikes out with the leaf blower already lol The kids are racing around on the carts from job to job. There already little flower pots hung soon to bloom for all to enjoy. The girls in the office are on the phones taking calls while Cory brings it together and Mackenzie tying up loose ends. The men are out and about fixing and mikes already got the leaf blower going lol. Leah is vamping up the store with thoughtful items and some great decor from cottage cabin signs to hand spun hemp mug mats. She has an eye for a traveller. The store is a must visit. Leave you’re coffee machine behind. Walking into the store and having a cup from their new multi- style coffee machine is like having it at home with friendly hellos from Gail who’s always there early. There will be an RV section this season which will eliminate you from driving 20km if you need a new hose. The pool and slide are great entertainment for the kids. Shade in the sweet little playground with hours of fun. Mini golf course to test your skills! Paul is a fairly new owner with staff that appreciate and respect him therefore in return they do a good job. Paul has went above and beyond putting in the best water system money can buy. I have seen so many improvements to this resort over the last few years from new roofs huge fencing all across the back sides of the property. Paul takes a lot of Pride in his Riverside Resort. I enjoy living here and you will enjoy your stay here ? As I’m typing this looking out my window the cleaning cart just drove by loaded up with goods. The cabins are fully functional some with a full fenced in yard for your fur baby or a semi private with a community court. Krueger coffee machines in the cabins and rooms.

We love this resort and it's great for families with younger kids. However, it's become way to pricey in the last 2 years with covid. I guess because people were not traveling out of country demand went up. It's become too expensive for what you get.

When looking for a girls get away with my daughters and granddaughter, I came across this little gem. The resort was prompt to reply to my email questions and after booking they followed up to see about upgrading us. Upon arrival we were greeted and had all questions answered. The rooms were clean, appeared recently updated and the basic cooking utensils were there. We attempted to set up the TV streaming service however the wifi did not appear to support this very well with spotty viewing. We enjoyed seeing & visiting the Qualicum Saturday Market, Little Qualicum Falls, and Coombs. The evenings were quiet. This looks like a great spot for family fun in the summer with the pool, waterslide, play areas and other family activities. I certainly recommend this spot.

My boyfriend, dog and I stayed at Riverside while he was working in Port Alberni. Everyone at Riverside was extremely friendly and helpful! I work remote, so the WIFI connection was super important in choosing a place for us to stay. I was having issues with my internet a few days in, I called the front desk and they sent someone out to take a look who was able to resolve it almost immediately. Also, a great place to bring you dog as there is a trail behind the camp ground and lots of other dog friendly trails/beaches close by.
