Riverbank Cottages & Trailer Park

Year after year we keep coming back to this beautiful spot, run by an amazing and super friendly family. I go with my kids, family, friends and now an annual girls weekend too. Truly something for everyone there. Regulars/seasonal ppl in trailers, cute rustic cabins and more for rent to give that country vibe :) Definitely well kept safe grounds! Stunning views spring - fall The water is so clear and warms up fast in the season. Sandy river bed is great for swimming. Having access to paddle boards, pedal boats, kayaks/canoes is a huge bonus too. The kids park is great for when we aren't at the water. Mike and Allison are always adding stuff like the awesome new dock off the cabins. By far my fav summer spot!

My group and I have gone to Riverbanks for the last three years. For myself and my husband has observed a huge decline in the general up keep of the cabins and trailers. First year experience was great aside from the fact oven in cabin was broken nor was it fixed in the years since, nor the bbq. Note: listed in the rentals for the cabins. If you are fortunate enough to be one of the first guests when the park opens, everything is clean fresh (outdoor potties). But you come any other time, it’s a hit and miss. The potties are not cleaned on a regular Second year, our group of 15-20 came towards the last of the season. My husband and myself rented a trailer this time as to avoid the outdoor potties and showers as they were never the best. Last year the visit was pleasant. Now to the weekend that just passed..?? Our group booked a month ago, but my husband and I were late to book but were fortunate enough that someone in our group had to cancel on the trailer they rented. We took over the rental so that the park would not be out any funds. We were disappointed to find that the trailer (different trailer from previous year but same price??)was extremely run down, no outside lights that work, many inside lights missing all together and only to be notified when we arrived there was no hot water so we could not use the shower in trailer...keep in mind this is part of advertising for rental of trailer... was there any discount..nope, just them telling us they don’t know why it does not work. No further comments on that The propane ran out within a day only for owners husband to ask why we ran it all night..why would we?? We just wanted to make breakfast! Steve was annoyed to say the least. Again if you have new renters you should really make sure what you advertise is what you are giving to the people that help support your business. We were slightly impressed with the new docks and a running bathroom but...someone in our group cleaned that new bathroom everyday for the whole park to use because the owners never did. So the final day we were there we were packing up and grease dumped in error? on concrete. My husband told Steve that it will be cleaned as we always clean up after ourselves. Steve had the ignorance to talk to me like a child and berate me . I apologized repeatedly but did point out that it would be cleaned...for which we took pics just in case they say otherwise, as well as pics of the inside of the trailer-left exactly how we received it. Steve then made an off hand remark about the run down torn umbrella that they left for us to use as if to insinuate that we did it. Wow ? Steve also made sure we were leaving right at 11:00. Never in the previous years was check out so aggressive and rude but we left but made us a point to right a review. Save Your cash all you renters and go somewhere where they have pride in their business and not take advantage. But as per Steve, since Covid this was the best year ever for them, . cheers to that I guess..up their prices and give minimum back

I’ve been here two years in a row and am seriously considering a seasonal rental. The grounds are nice and the cabin I’ve stayed in is always clean and an amazing price for what you get. There are plenty of amenities throughout the park, your sure to have a good stay! Mike and Alison are amazing people and I always look forward to talking to them. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

We spent last summer there, Mike & Allison were awesome to deal with. We ended up purchasing a cottage at the end of the season but we will definitely still go visit and do some fishing there. Lovely small clean park.

Considering the price per night the cottages are pretty good. Each one has a bbq with propane included, we had use of a small motor boat, there's a playground for kids, a beach, and more. The park offers lots to do and see and a good value.

Affordable family friendly trailer park with cabins, tent sites and trailers for rent. Amazing owners, super friendly people. I've been going here for years and love it! My kids love using the boats and swimming at the private Sandy beach area. Nice shallow water for kids and then water way opens to a small lake with great fishing. Clean bright green grounds, with a loss park too. Every unit has a bbq and fire pit. Made lots of great memories here with my kids and friends and excited to spend many more summers at this small town gem

Allison and Mike are the best hosts. We had a great time in one of their rustic cottages. The property is exceptionally beautiful and well maintained. Care is shown everywhere. Great swimming. Paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes for all to use which is a nice touch. Washrooms clean. Friendly people all around! Loved it and will be back next year!!!

Spent 3 years as a seasonal camper here. Was told on a regular basis what great tenants we were only to be kicked out (by text message when he was 100 ft away) when we questioned the unfair rate hike. Some sites were raised by $300 others by $500 for no rhyme or reason. We were told we spent too much time at our site which is ridiculous as we were seasonal. And yet our neighbours spent as much or more time and they didn't get the $500 hike. Beware of the owners temper as well as gossiping about all the other tenants. Rules change on a weekly basis and only apply to a few. Such a shame. It could be a great spot!
