The Empress Theatre has a long history in our town, and was touted as a ‘first class opera house’ when it opened in 1912 as a franchise of the Famous Players theatre chain. To this day movies, as well as local drama companies and artists entertain audiences. Recorded on the walls of the small dressing room are the names of such acts as “Texas Tony and his Wonder Horse Baby Doll/The Purple Sage Riders, 1935, from Isabella, California” and the “CPR Minstrels, 1923”. This tradition has carried on as evidenced by the names of contemporary performers written on the wood frame walls. It is also rumored to be haunted. Don’t miss experiencing The Empress.

My only thing was I felt $40 a night was a little pricey being right near the highway & we have a 20ft trailer, didn't use power or water. Was nice for a weekend though.

R	Ryan Corbett on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A couple complaints is the sites are wide open. A few more trees in the area to offer abit of privacy would be awesome!! The only other thing I would like to see improved upon is the sani dump. It is almost unusable due to the grade leading up to and away from it. Other than that, amazing campground, very friendly staff, the grounds are well maintained. There is also access to the river, it is a rocky shore but very nice none the less.
R	Rick Fabbro on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we camp we like to have big sites with room all around so we don't feel squeezed in. We like a campfire. We like trees and a some sort of body of water nearby. We like the owner/manager to understand the importance of relationships when you are in the service industry. Washrooms need to be clean. River's Edge RV Park and Campground hits all the marks. Robyn is the perfect host. She is so welcoming and also willing to share local knowledge. The grounds are also central to many day trip adventures. We went to "Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump", "Waterton Lakes National Park", Fort MacLeod and Lethbridge. All within an easy drive.
