★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had dinner at this true gem of a restaurant. What a find!! The food was absolutely fantastic. We sampled the lobster rice dish, the cauliflower and the fennel/arugula salad and they were each delicious. The deserts were also great, especially the chocolate mousse. Service was great and the ambiance lovely with a beautiful view of the ocean while being surrounded with flowers. We wish the new management much success! We will definitely be back for many more 'second' helpings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered the seafood pasta which was heavily smothered in an acidic tomato sauce. The black noodles made it difficult to notice the seafood. My partner ordered the mussels, which was also smothered in an acidic tomato sauce. My suggestion would be if the kitchen had two option choices for customers. One with a light broth and wine sauce for the mussels and the seafood.
The atmosphere is beautiful in this restaurant and has the best water view in Sidney.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is superb. Generous portions, a great variety of dishes and every one we ordered was incredible. Our waiter was fabulous as well. If you love authentic Italian cuisine, I'm pretty confident you will not find a place better than this on the Island. We ate here on a cold November evening, so I can well imagine the experience would be enhanced even more being right next to the water. Book it. Now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was supposed to be a party for 12 but we ended up just four of us, right throughout the messing around with numbers, the staff were superb.
When we arrived the greeter was warm and friendly and our server Talia (Feb 4) was tremendous, she could not have done more to look after us.
The food was great especially the risotto - do NOT go here if you are trying to lose weight - as it is hard to just choose one dish!
I read one poor review on RIVA but it was from someone who rates a MacD as 5 * so I'm not sure what they want from their dining experience?
RIVA is a delight and the views are awesome too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Enjoyed a dinner out tonight at Riva. A new menu has been created and there is a good variety of food options. Catch of the day fish n chips was very good, as was the lamb sirloin. Portions are generous and beautifully presented. Servers are attentive, efficient and welcoming. Overall a very pleasant dining experience! Will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went for brunch on Sunday. It was the first time to visit since it became Riva and I will definitely be back. Service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere inside was updated and comfortable. Looking forward to the patio days but our meal on a rainy Sunday was delicious. Westcoast eggs Benedict was flavorful and delicious, the potatoes crispy and tasty especially with the hollandiase sauce. Worth a try and enjoy a meal with a view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time at Riva. Wow! We had a small Caesar salad that was big enough for two, absolutely delicious. I ordered Lasagna, I would say its one of the best I’ve ever tasted. My fiancée ordered salmon pasta dish, again delicious. Great ambience and very well done. Highly recommend this restaurant and compliments to the chef. We will be back, just what Sidney needed, an Italian restaurant to go alongside the other cultural dining.
